So who is the unfortunate bot that gets sacrificed for parts for Megatron? I'm guessing it was one of the many constructicons but I have no idea? Anyone wanna shed some light?
The vehicle mode of the sacrifice is a yellow Volvo excavator and it is not seen again after the sacrifice. The other robots were clearly the giant Long Haul, the guy with shields Mixmaster and the robot with 2 track whips Rampage. On the ship, the vehicles were the yellow volvo excavator beside Mixmaster. Long Haul was beside the red Rampage.
this is actually a continuity error. the first overhead shot shows the yellow scoop loader, then the rest of the tight shots (pre-transformation) show the Volvo excavator. The robot shown jumping into the ocean - the one who is killed for his parts - is the one whose vehicle mode is the scoop loader (not the Volvo). It's obvious during the underwater scene - the tires are a dead giveaway.
The clearest shots are of the close ups of the yellow volvo excavator so the final decision must've been the yellow volvo excavator as the sacrifice rather than Scrapper. The obvious reason for the change is that the Scrapper robot appears again later on in the film and they probably don't want the audience to think that the Scrapper robot got killed at the beginning of the movie. Later on in the movie, there is 1 Scrapper robot and 2 Scrapper vehicles so the movie has at least 3 Scrapper clones already. The top view shows a yellow vehicle that does look like Scrapper. Since the vehicle is very small, most people won't even notice that the top view looks like Scrapper. The shots of the Scrapper robot are also not clear when he is jumping and when underwater so the robot is probably playing the yellow volvo excavator even though the robot might look like Scrapper. A claw hand can be seen when Scrapper robot is jumping into the water but I did not see any wheels on the robot probably bec. they are hard to spot. Scrapper is supposed to have a 5 finger claw hand that can be extended like a whip for both hands.
Because they didn't want to have a Mega-Bumblebee. ...I...probably need to get shot for that... jD001
It's just easier to not even try and comprehend things like this and how Mikayla was able to get from California to Princeton in like 20 minutes. There's errors all over the place.
I have a question: Why "bury" Megatron in the depths of the sea, and not destroy his body completely, therefore preventing any sort of resurrection, instead of having submarines keeping tabs on his corpse? It is shown in TF1 that human weaponry is advanced enough to melt Transformer flesh.
It all happens so fast its hard to tell whats going on. Pity as it could have been a major part of the film, instead its just stick a new muffler on and a quick buff and off we go.
well, i was specifically watching this part during my second time seeing it. There are definitely scoop loader wheels on the robot.
