You do realise that the poll was conducted by Paramount the maker of the movie correct? I thought the movie was ok but I think there was a slight bias going on when this poll was conducted. :)

    We do.

But a jump from 49% (minority of people liking it) to 91% is just... impossible from any credible source, the max I'd say they could've farfetch'd (sp?) would be around extra 10%, but 80% would still be a good number.

Was there a 49% poll? I didn't see that one or were you speaking from just the minority standpoint? Hmm.

What? No no no, I'm saying that, even if 91% was a faked number, the movie probably still had majority of positive reaction, 49% is just the highest possible number that the movie could reach to be a "major negative reaction" so I used it as example.

To clarify further, the 91% said they liked it as much OR more than the first movie.

I think the question is a little loaded. I mean, how many movies would you leave and say immediately that you didn't like it? Don't people usually go see movies that they think they'll like before they see it?

I liked the movie, but I still see flaws in it, and I think it could have been done a lot better.

Also keep in mind the context of the survey is only for initial reaction after having just seen the movie. I would bet that a year from now that number will be MUCH lower.

Would love to see their methodology. How many theatres did they screen? How many showings at each theatre? Did they screen only the midnight showing where there were going to be majority fanboys? What is the standard deviation? How was the question phrased? Who was it asked by (hot girl maybe)?

There is already a thread going that includes talking about the poll I do not see why we need a poll only thread.
