You're grasping a slippery set of straws there, but okay. I like the dog avatar so it's a good response.

they have the major charachters down pretty well IMO. Prime, Scream, Bee, Ironhide, ect. They fucked up on developing the new charachters/side charachters.

this thread is just going to go on and on anyways endless bickering. And thanks, my avatar is full of win

Ironhide was in RotF for like 14 seconds. Eschewing Ironhide in favor of robotards like Skids and Mudflap is a slap in the face with a robotic wang.

those 10 things you listed are out of place how? because you havent seen them before?

i guess the stasis pods in beast wars were out of place too, and cyber power keys as well. Cant forget about those pesky human supervillians either...there are tons of things that happen in one universe that dont happen in others. This version of transformers is just more risky than the others

i never said that was minor stuff, i think the new movie sucks (as a movie in general) but the writers/director know what it takes to be transformers. they know they need autobots vs decepticons, they know there needs to be a power struggle....its just the story telling sucks...kind of like those g1 cartoon episodes now that i think about it

I wasnt referring to ROTF only. I was referring to the movie series. He may not have been on screen much but his charachter had allready been developed in the 1st one.

if someone were to beat you to near death, would you look for them and then ask for a letter of apology?

Thanks. I like that word, and used to pronounce it in my head as "hyper-bowl" when reading it.

Do you even read what people write or just skim it? Where did I say Michael Bay in my post?

Even so, of course he is. He has a vision of Transformers and *poof* we have a movie. That's usually how things like paintings, books and movies get done. I'd explain it more but it might sound demeaning.

Okay, if not Michael Bay, whose *ahem* vision were you defending in your post? If that's not what you were referring to, what then?

Please, explain more and sound demeaning. I could write a book that's three pages long and is nothing but the word "balls", but would I have an artistic vision?

I think Michael Bay is the perfect candidate to direct Hyper Bowl commercials.

    On that, we agree.

Michael Bay is certainly quite artistic, actually. It just has little or nothing to do with his preference of script or subject material. Bay's artistic ability shows in his visual aesthetic sense, and his ability to get that aesthetic vision onto the screen. He knows how to frame the shots the way he wants. He knows how to get a striking "color world" onto the screen. He knows how the camera should move during a shot to get the visual effect he wants. Basically, he knows how to make a film very striking and give it a lot of visual impact. He's also fairly decent at using that skill to amplify the emotion of a scene, but it tends to be very simple, raw emotion.

If I were to use older art forms than film as an example, I would say that you're looking for a Michaelangelo, but Bay is a Bernini. Both were artistic. Both made sculptures of David, but look at the difference.

Bay was a great candidate for this movie becasue it doesn't require a lot of acting from actors. It's Bay! Action, Explosions, all that jazz. With all the CGI robots you'd think he could give the few actors he does has a chance to get some good takes... but then again...

So Bay was perfect for it becasue of the cars, explosions, military ties... all that stuff. Certainly NOT for the acting side of things. Luckiy most the actors are robots:)

All credibility was lost once you said this line. Who is anyone to say what a fan has to like or dislike?

My 10 year old son was cringing at the Robot Heaven and other scenes.

I wanted to like this one (especially seeing it in Imax) but really didn't enjoy it. Just me though.

Everyone has got such a big opinion on the robot heaven thing.

Sam got zapped by the allspark... an energy that gives Transformers life, etc. etc.

So.... in my opinion, being zapped by the allspark was why Sam was seeing the symbols, why he was super smart, why he was able to come back after being knocked out. The Primes secrets rested in the Allspark and the allsparks information and energy passed to Sam... a human. Probably the only human to be zapped by the all spark. An allspark which when powed up fully gives life to planets in the form of transformers. the Primes commmunicated with Sam through the power of the allspark and that energy... is was kept him alive.

    In my opinion.

The Robot Heaven didn't bug me one bit.

People do this in movies ALL the time.

    "Oh my god he's dead"

    Oh wait.... nope... not dead.
