Talked to a friend about the film. He mentioned that it would have been great if the Twins had blown up Devastator from the inside - the classic David v. Goliath thing. That would've given the Twins a purpose in the film other than comic fodder and been cooler/less surreal than SImmons and the rail gun.

I suspect, though, that the Navy probably persuaded Bay to give them a heroic role!

The only way I see it, the haters would only be satisfied if Primus himself stepped on Devastator.

 

That would cut the Twins a lot of slack. Shut up the critics who claim they're just racist comedy material.

 

They would have to change the design as Devastator doesn't actually ingest anything. Just inside his mouth are grinders that just tear everything up and spit it out the back.

I do however think the rail gun should have just seperated him and knocked him off the pyramid.

 

That would be pretty cool, and then Ironhide, Ratchet, and Jolt could get some more screen time by destroying them. But we can't change it now, and that's ok for me.
