If it's anybody Spielberg recommends...AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Spielberg's responsible for Bay's crap in Transformers and Abrams' crap in Trek. Noooooo more Spielberg lackeys, please.
As for how I'd do it.
NO MORE ADDED CHARACTERS, pare them down again, honestly.
Just do correct and interesting jobs on some of the main guys. I like the idea of developing Ironhide's friendship with Prime.

But, then again, Blackout and Bonecrusher seemed to have crawled away from Mission City...)
Unicron and the Dinobots would be rediculous and I hope they don't try to include them into the third one. Grimlock's character is fine, but let him be a tank or something, not a t-rex. It'd be too much suspension of belief.
As for the actual story, if they keep with the same creative team, I imagine it'll have a theme of personal growth and achievement. TF1 was "a boy and his first car" (all about Sam and BB's friendship) and mikaela's transformation from a 'shallow ditz' to a 'brave woman', where TF2 was "going away from home" (college/Autobots now living on Earth) and Sam's transformation from "scared boy trying to escape reality and be 'normal' to accepting his calling and owning up to his purpose. Just throwing ideas out, but TF3 would have to go somewhere along the lines of "settling down", or the transition from school to career. | |

- More dialogue*
* Megatron / Starscream
* Optimus Prime > humans > other Autobots
* In Revenge of the Fallen he did communicate but he didn't have as much dialogue as he did in the first one. I missed that.
- Less action
* Don't get me wrong, the action in ROTF was perfect but it was a BIT too much. I got bored near the ending because it dragged too much.
- Steady action shots
* Stop the 360 degree turning crap, show it from 1 perspective!
- Introduction of Unicron after hearing of the Fallen's defeat
* The Fallen SHOULD be a lackee of Unicron. After hearing of Fallen's defeat by the hands of the last Prime AND hearing of the Matrix of Leadership ( which should not be destroyed ) Unicron sets course to Earth to claim it ...
- Introduction of several Dinobots
* Needs no explanation!
- Soundwave / Shockwave arrive on Earth.
* Soundwave, after hearing the Fallen has been destroyed awaits instructions from Megatron. Megatron : "Soundwave, the time has come" Soundwave : "Yes Megatron. Course changed. Interception immenent. Operation Search and Destroy" ... after that, he's off to Earth. This time Shockwave could serve as an intelligence Decepticon.
- More Devastator
* Devastator is not dead. Seeing as he got shot apart by the Rail-Gun. More Constructicons excist. I'd like to see him destroy more stuff. If you take a look in the movie-comic you'll see that Devastator was ment to "suck" off the bricks from the Piramid. | |
