I went to great lengths to avoid all movie discussion before I went and saw it on wednesday. I knew nothing of the spoilers, cast, or anything before I went. I was totally in the dark and objective. Here are some Positive Thoughts for once since this board has turned into complete negativity! Things I liked: 1. The voice of Soundwave (even before I knew it was Frank Welker) - Completely AWESOME! 2. The way they went about doing and using Optimus Prime's gun. Much better than the first one. 3. The amount of dialogue the transformers got, especially the decepticons. Loved how much dialogue there was from guys like Starscream, Megatron, Soundwave, The Fallen, etc. 4. John Turturro! (nuff said) 5. Having Optimus almost die again. I know a lot will say this was bad but when they 'killed him' I was back in the theatre when I was a kid for a moment experiencing the exact same emotions that I did then. I actually looked around the PACKED theatre and was saying to myself, "they did it again...they did it too me again, I don't believe it" Loved that part. 6. Ravage - thought this was excellently done as well. 7. Jetfire - Even though I wasnt a big fan of the voice by Mark Ryan or the Pirates of the Carib. look, I thought it was great they had Jetfire in the movie and in that role. He was the perfect choice for that. 8. Josh Duhamel and Tyrese - have liked them in both movies. 9. More bots actually dying. 10. Wheelie - hey finally a good version of Wheelie - loved the remote control car idea (could have done without the humping leg scene but must remember the movie is a kids movie and kids love that type of stuff. Who else has stuff they liked? PLEASE NO COMPLAINING OR NEGATIVE COMMENTS. This is not about arguing with each other lets try to bring some POSITIVE back to this board!

I was a fan of the twins, honestly. Before I saw the movie I didn't care for them all too much. I thought they looked like idiots. However their personalities grabbed my attention and made me laugh. I think I'm going to have to pick the two of em up for the shelf. ~Z
everything prime said was like candy. oh so delicious i have to say that the forest fight scene is the BEST thing i ever saw
Things I liked: 1. The twins, they were pretty funny, especially the "ninja" stuff. Mudflap owned in the Devastator scene. 2. More funny moments. 3. More Decepticon dialog. 4. Longer movie, more action, and more robots. 5. How much Optimus Prime owned.
Love the comments guys - Good job keeping it positive. (my only fear is within hours someone will bring some negativity in here but lets cross our fingers)
sad this thread has the fewest views and replies. I liked the movie alot too, it was actually pretty much exactly what I expected it to be. It had weak points, but so do all movies. But it also had amazing never seen anything like that before moments that made it all worthwhile. "Kung Fu GRIP! Kung Fu GRIP!" and just for the record, given the opportunity, I have a sneaking suspicion I'd hump Megan Fox's leg too.
The things I liked about ROTF? More like, what DIDN'T I like about ROTF, amirite? Honestly, I liked nearly everything. My only problem was the death of Sam scene's length. Otherwise, that movie was awesome! Especially Megatron and his cronies!
The first third of the movie up to Optimus dying was pure unadulterated joy for me. I loved Optimus kicking ass: "I'll take you all on!" Sweet! Sideswipe: "Damn I'm good". There wasn't enough Sideswipe! Slicing Sideways in half - wheee! The motorcycle girls were actually pretty cool. Odd toys, though... Ravage hopping around exchanging gunfire with the guards. Those crazy sphere-bots combining into that crazy razor-bot. Megs and Starscream interacting with each other - very old-school. Devastator tearing down the pyramid. Secret Decepticon base on a moon of Saturn - good hiding place! Megatron was pretty badass. You got the impressions (perhaps not enough...) that The Fallen was an incredibly tough opponent and yet Prime/Jetfire squashed him like a bug - yet more Prime badassery. The twins made me chuckle pretty consistently. I liked them. Bumblebee ripping the arms off of Scavenger and all-around kicking his ass Bumblebee stripping the "non-spine" parts off of Ravage's spine in one clean movement. Poor Ravage, we hardly knew ye. Megatron taking that small but malevolent detour on his way to the surface to punk that submarine. Those guys attacking and destroying one of their own to rebuild Megatron. I thought the fem-bot was pretty cool. Jetfire was way cool. The place they used for the interior shots at the museum is in my area. I've walked around that very SR-71, so that's neat. Wheelie was extremely likable - I wasn't expecting that. I liked how his recovering eye was becoming (Autobot) blue instead of (Decepticon) red - nice touch, that. Funny how Ratchet continued to demonstrate his dedication to the "Captain Kirk School of Combat" Roll. Shoot. Roll. Shoot. hehe The crazy little Doctor dude
I liked: -Soundwave, thought his voice was pretty cool. Glad Frank Welker did it. -LOTS more bots in this one, made for some nice battles and carnage. -I actually liked Megs new design, thought it looked MUCH better than the first one -the visuals were amazing, all the CGI looked really nice -Sideswipe was freakin awesome!! Wish they woulda had more of him and less of the twins -the battles were fairly epic

1. Optimus's death scene and the Forest Fight. I loved the slow motion effects and the damage he had taken, but he still fought on till the very end of the scene. He EVEN took on THREE Decepticons at once! Can you believe it? Three! He never did that before in the last movie, that had to be brilliant! 2. Optimus coming back to life. DUH! That flicker in his optics brough hope and joy. 3. Optimus completely owned everybody! 4. Sideswipe saying 'Damn I am good!' after kicking Sideways' ass. 5. The Twins made me laugh all night long until I fell asleep with a big grin on my face. 6. Jetfire's groutchy grandpa attitude. Loved it! Reminded me of Kup and Ironhide from G1. 7. Optimus/Jetfire combination and battle with The Fallen. He practically owned the zone! 8. Megatron's squabbling with Starscream. A VERY good tribute to their G1 selves. Never liked it much, but it was excellently well done in my perspective.
What a sad statement about the fandom this board has become since the movie came out - pages and pages of complaints and negativity and literally little to none for replies or views on a completely positive post...
I Thought the movie was AWESOME everyone in my Family loved it and we got back into line to see it again after it was over. I am not sure why all the hate but thats the internet for you the place where everyone is brave and smarter than everyone else.. I could go on forever but there where alot of little seens I liked. 1. When That mussle guy said something like he was going to put his foot in his butt and Sam asked him what his shoe size was..Funny stuff and when he was talking about Alice and her tounge tasting like Gas.. 2. The small part when the Galloways Army came up on IronHide with there guns and he got pissed and pulled out the Cannons and said something really Cool but I can remember all the words.. 3. Optimus Prime!! enough said
I'm glad you started this thread Solo. I was going to myself. There's entirely far too many threads bashing this AWESOME movie. People bashing don't even know what they're looking at. I saw it twice yesterday, gonna see it again today, Imax during the week. This movie is simply excellent. I have absolutely no complaints. Only praise. Unlike yourself, I read too much and knew what was coming though not when. I've already said in a few of the bashing threads that I'm glad they did not use the vocoder on Soundwave's voice. It would not have been a good fit. Not at all. Soundwave was the mastermind Decepticon and that's exactly what he sounded like. Sinister and EVIL. The Twins were AWESOME. I loved every second they were on screen and so did the rest of the audience. Everything they said got a big laugh from the audience. Adults and kids alike. Sam's parents, his Mother especially, were hysterical. Also when Sam's dad gave the "we stick together" speech I teared up a little from how intense he was and how he sounded like my father. Ironhide saying " Punk ass Decepticon " was awesome. Prime taking on everyone in the forest has to be the most bad ass robot fight scenes of all time. I loved Isabel Lucas performance. She was brilliant. All the humor was great and funny as hell. Nothing over the top. At least not for anyone with a sense of humor beyond 1940. The ball bearing/razor bot was INCREDIBLE. What a kick ass design. Not THAT is a spy bot. Complete with original Transforming sound! Ravage was awesome. Even when BB boned him he was awesome. Devastator looked incredible! WTF is with people saying he served no purpose? He uncovered the damn sun harvester!! Who else could done that so quickly? NOBODY! That was his job. He wasn't there to fight Autobots. Sorry geekboy's . He had a greater purpose. His balls were funny. Deal with it. They had to go somewhere. Why not? It got a big laugh. Megatron and SS ranting on just like they did in G1. They nailed their relationship on the head. 100% accurate and was like watching Saturday morning cartoons all over again. The battle scenes were so packed with action and robots, humans , tanks, jets how the F%^K could you not get pumped watching it??!? Wheelie was an unforeseen gem. The audience LOVED him. They hung on his every word. Everything he said was gold. Including him humping Megan's leg. Jetfire was great and hated to see him go, but at least he got to meet a Prime and help save the day. The fallen looked awesome and sounded fantastic. Too bad he lost his FACE to Prime. Prime was to much to F with in this one. Which I believe was what a lot of the complainers wanted was it not? This movie was in every way shape and form AWESOME and a joy to watch. There's a reason it's so successful and shattering box office records. To me the only people that aren't loving it are the those posting in this and similar forums. The people who can do nothing but complain and don't even know what they want or what they're looking at. They have agenda's and no matter what they will never be anything but negative. This movie IS Transformers. What else can I say...
