One thing I don't see nearly enough people talking about is how Optimus Prime, who felt regret over defeating Megatron ("you left me no choice"), got transformed into Dirty Harry.
When he towers over Demolishor and says "Any Last Words?" and then shoots him in the face? Thats not what a hero does, thats what a VILLAIN does.
THen against The Fallen: "Give me your face!"
WHAT THE HELL? When did Optimus Prime go from "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" to "I'm going to rip your head off!"
I can overlook all the silly stuff in the movie except this. they turned the hero into the villain.  |

That said, I do think Prime was a little too...glib, I guess...while taking out the Decepticons. I know Cullen's always channeled John Wayne and that sort of hero type for his version of Prime, but I do think it went a bit over the top here.  | |
