Fallen says "BWAHAHA I AM GOING TO STEAL ALL ENERGY FROM THIS PLANET'S SUN AND DESTROY THE BILLIONS UPON BILLIONS OF LIFE FORMS ON IT FOR MY OWN MEANS"

You damn well better believe Optimus is going to want more than just that guy's head for wanting to destroy so much innocence.

also, if he had caught it, do you know what would have happened? since the structural integrity was gone, it would have been smashed where ever he grabbed it.

he couldnt have done anything.

the same people bitching about prime killing decepticons in this movie dont seem to remember his little rampage in the 86 movie. running decepticons down, blasting them afterwards, and in a dropped scene, he even smashed ramjets head into the ground.

Yeah, cuz it's not like he ruthlessly eliminated a Decepticon in the first movie by beating the shit out of it and then slicing its head off.

Apples and Oranges my friend.

1st: In the first movie Optimus Prime takes out Bonecrusher with no hesitation whatsoever... beating him senseless just prior to BEHEADING him. And all done while being cooler than the other side of the pillow.

2nd: I think his line of "You left me no choice" is much broader than 'Oh boo hoo, I really wish you didn't have to be killed Megatron'... Instead I think he's basically lamenting how far this war of theirs has come and ALL that's had to be done to get to the point they were currently at. (and quite frankly, if not, it's a bullshit line then because Prime didn't kill Megs, Sam did... but Prime basically took the credit

)

3rd: In TF2 Demolisher had just wiped out blocks of Shanghai and no doubt killed many people along the way (besides the known deaths of chopper pilots)... and we're supposed to feel Prime is over doing it by bringing him his doom?

prime was upset about fighting megs in tf1 cuz in movieverse they bros.
who is demolisher anyway? a low ranking deceptipunk!
maybe he was just mad that his troops are awful fighters, i mean really, autobots have been over dependent on Prime for 25 years, i would be in a bad mood too.

I don't think a single person here fully understood what I said here.

Optimus Prime is my fucking HERO. he doesn't act like a villain. this killing without remorse and making jokes about it shit its what a villain does.

I liked that bonecrusher part in TF1 too. His actions aren't really at the heart of this so much as how he reacts verbally. "Give me your face" is fucking terrifying. I know the Fallen was a bad guy and going to do something worse, but Optimus Didn't have to go all MORTAL KOMBAT on the guy.

Same thing with a lot of the Autobots. Slicing sideways in half, ripping out Ravage's spine: the level of graphic brutality is not fitting for the 'good guys'

but I'm sure someone will come after me over this anyway and poke a hole in this by pointing out something I didn't, but that doesn't change my emotional reaction to the movie. I though Superman Returns ruined Superman, but this does Prime far worse.

I think Prime could have used some different dialogue, but I really like seeing him kicking ass and taking names.
