Or that in the Bayformersverse, combining sacrifices the an individual most of the time. Prime & Jetfire, for example. Perhaps creating Devastator sacrificed the individuals from the start? Just a thought.

He was a let down, but I have to admit that seeing him break down the piramide was awesome.

Yeah he really didn't really do much. Sure he fought the twins breifly but considering he was supposted to be this epic force he got taken out rather easily. IMAO there should heav just had one set of constructicons. They could have fought theb army for a bit and then Megs could have said to combine and then they do so in a climatic way.

First off let me say that I really liked the movie design of Devastator. I though ILM did a fantastic job creating and animating him, I thought he looked great. His transformation scene was awesome as was his vortex grinder imo. That being said his role in the movie was a big let down for me. He was the thing in the movie I wanted to more than anything else. I can't believe he only fought Skidz, Mudflap and Simmons and none of them died!!! I was expecting him to be in a huge battle against the Autobots and human forces. I thought it would take everything the Autobots had to take him down. They should at least had him kill something besides a pyramid. Oh, and the fact that they gave him balls, wtf come on...why? I sure hope they bring him back and actually give him a bigger role and a castration next time. I must admit I'm also not a big fan of all the "clones" running around either, this could be super confusing to casual fans. Don't take this as bitching and moaning, I enjoyed it. I just thought Devastator would have been......more.

Yeah, that's the other possibility. One or the other. Personally, I think I'd prefer it if Devastator was just one super being that was composed of seven vehicles without individual sparks rather than what they were in G1. Just for the movie universe anyways and I'd probably prefer that just because of the way that movie Devastator was portrayed... that and I don't like the idea of 'bots having to literally sacrifice themselves to combine with others. Just my two cents though.
