I can completely understand wanting to see more bots on the screen. I mean, odds are if you are seeing a Transformers film, it's to see the Transformers. And its a sentiment I can agree with, I'd love if we had more, longer sequences featuring the cybertronians.

But you can't forget, cg is expensive, I just don't think studios are gonna throw that much money into the production.

No, the problem is Bay likes to waste money.

We could probably have gotten alot more character moments with the Transformers had he not included some of the junk in this film. He could of cut out the whole "kitchen robot" sequence all together, he could of cut out that paper thin robot that came out of Ravage, he could of gotten rid of Alice the Pretender. Nobody was asking or wanting to see that stuff. How much money could they have saved there that could of been spent on more scenes of the Autobots?

I think im speaking for everyone when I say that when we all asked for more robots, we DIDN'T mean 20 protoforms that all looked the same, or apparently 6 of every constructicon. They could of spliced out all those characters if it would of given more screen time to Ratchet, Sideswipe, or any of the other main Transformer characters. Why not have Ravage, by himself, sneak into the base to get the allspark fragment? Why not have Barricade come back instead of creating a whole new character of Sideways fo a 5 second scene? Its logical. Like I said, Bay just wasts money on things no Transformer fan was asking to see.

The flaws in this film are so painfully obvious, it's almost like a parody. I can't believe an actual real life human being thought it would be a good idea to put testicles on Devastator.

Oh, and how much extra money would Bay of had for effects if he didn't film an over-the-top amount of scenes of the Air Force taking off from aircraft carriers, or military analysts sitting at computers saying "Sir, we just got a communication!"?

Imagine a 200 million budget on a more simplified story of Sam and his gf getting caught in the mix of the battle between Autobots and Decepticons. It's just Bay's personal taste why the movie turned out to be a slightly racist, toilet humored, convoluted film.

The movie is called Transformers man. I would have had no problem with Sam's stupid fucking roomate never being in this film!!

HE WAS USELESS, all he did was cry like a little bitch in every scene!?!

How about some scenes with just some Autobots?? You know some back and forth between them? Ratchet had 4 lines in the last movie, he maybe had 2 this time around, Ironhide had even less than last time!!!

Your telling me the studio is too cheap so they just decided to use crap scenes to fill up the movie instead of the Transformers.... and you're okay with that?

I have to agree with you.
They had a lot of throw away characters in the movies who just didn't matter.
The whole thing with wasted characters and wasted money, I would like to mention Jetfire. I mean, he had the personality of Kup, the powers of Skywarp, and for some reason he was named Jetfire. We had three different Transformers crammed into one robot, when we could have had three separate Transformers instead of one hybrid of three.

I certainly agree. The roommate was quite useless. I also counted 2 lines from Ratchet. For about the first half of the Movie, I thought they had left him out.

But Ironhide was done pretty well, and I loved Sideswipe. Not that I wouldn't like more Ironhide, but he had a number of lines and acted as second in command of the Autobots (I guess he was promoted after the demise of Jazz).

I guess my problem with the bot time is that they weren't there.
In the first movie they introduce the characters and get you to love them, in the second movie you are supposed to delve deeper into character development but how could they do that if they were barely in the freakin movie.

Sam and Mikayla running in the movie = 62.5 minutes

Autobots Ratchet and the others = 2 minutes

TFs got a lot of screen time, but they didn't speak much. Why not have characters in smaller roles at least speak when they are being shown. Plus there are ways to get around the CG excuse.

    1. Speaking off camera. While it kind of sucks.. at least it builds some sort of presence for the character.

    2. Talking in ALT mode. Shit you could have a whole scene or two with Autobots in car mode having conversations.

After seeing the movie, I was a little dissapointed with the screen time with some of the transformers and frankly a little confusing. After seeing Sideswipe tear apart sideways in the first 15 minutes of the movie, I was upset that we didnt see more of him at the last battle slicing up decepticons. BTW, what was the deal with VOLT? You see him in the middle of the movie and at the end, but no lines or anything. I saw more of bonecrusher than I did jolt, arcee, chromia, sideswipe. And whats the deal with the multiple constructicons? You see rampage, mixmaster and longhaul fighting in the village, but are'nt they needed to form devastator who was at the same time climbing the freakin pyramid?

Yah, it's very sloppy. It's almost like a montage of random things showing up and disapearing. I've often wondered of the average movie goers perspective, considering we never heard most of the characters names spoken outloud, if they knew who anybody was. They never called Ravage by his name, they had no indication who Arcee was. They mentioned Sideswipe, but they never said "SEE, THE SILVER ONE IS SIDESWIPE." We all know who these characters are cuz we did actual research, but how would anyone else know what the hell was going on? The Constructicons were never named, and from the audience perspective there was dozens of the same ones over and over again. At least in the cartoon show they would say something along the lines of "Look, it's the insecticons!" or "Here come the Dinobots!"

Michael Bay treats his characters like props.

How could you like Sideswipes screentime? His entire sequence was in that commercial! Shit that entire commercial had Sideswipes, Sideways and the Arcees twins parts in the movie.

Instead of showing in any sort of light on them at any point in the movie we get super slow montage of the fucking dog house being blown up.......

    WTF!!!

While I want more personified bots, at least this time around they have a decent reason blocking some prime spots for it.

The unauthed politician only is allowed to see Prime, so many of the bot interactions we could have had get story centricly removed. We basicly didn't get any scenes of transformers expositioning for various similiar reasons, but the doors are opened for it in next movie at least. Since the war is seemingly winding down now that the decepticons are lacking power to keep pumping out canon fodder.
