In the scene where devastator is powering up and the twins are hanging on for dear life, a scrap of news?paper is blown against the railing they are holding and says something about robots...

Also Frenzy's head in a case was an obvious homage to the 1st film.
The fact that the Fallen's design had orange glowing through his body is somewhat a slight (ripoff) homage to the comics where he was on fire. | |

#29 | | Maximal Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 332 | Anyone else think the Fallen's sun device is like the Solar Needle from the season 1 episode "Changing Gears"? Decepticon devices built to make energon from the sun, but that will also destroy them.... hmm... Orci stole the plot of a G1 episode!
Megatron getting a reformat into a tank mode seems to be a (perhaps unintentional) homage to G2 Megatron's upgrade by Cobra to tank mode.
The rail gun used against Devastator is also a lot like the one used by Cobra in that same comic where Megatorn got the upgrade. | |
