Lots of the Illinois Sightings Thread regulars have seen the movie and want to discuss it, so creating this thread for us to keep the spoilers out of the regular Illinois thread until the weekend is over.

MegaHavok, is this thread ruining your TFW experience somehow?

Mods, appreciate if you'd let this thread fly. We're not gonna complain if some non-Illinois people post here, but I'm not sure why they'll want to. We just don't want to spoil Illinois Sightings thread visitors for the next few days.

Yeah why would someone not in IL even post or read this??

This is just so those of us who have seen it can talk about it.

    Havok calm down.

there is a general thread for over all discussion and reviews and their are numerous threads focusing on various specific film topics.

I'm not angry so I dont need to calm down

There is no need for "where I from movie threads".

There is no difference between a thread on a specific topic or one where people from IL can discuss the movie. By your logic we should have just one giant movie thread. MegaHavok, I guess Havok is CA slang for ******.

I'm ******ed? that's your big point? what are you five? are you even old enough to be using the internet unsupervised? The fact that nobody is even using this thread for the purpose intended while the movie forum is getting flooded with traffic proves how utterly pointless this thread is. Your bottle is ready, take a nap, your getting cranky!

alright let's just ignore megahavok and use this forum for what we intended it to be, I personally loved the movie but my only question is why was bonecrusher at the final battle?

The whole point of the thread is for it to be there in case someone from IL would like to discuss the movie because we have more of a community in the IL thread where we actually talk about other things then "Jetfire at walmart on main st." The fact that instead of letting the thread die or letting us have it for a couple days before it died, you felt the need to take the time out of your obviously busy life in CA to type up words that you honestly had no need to type up.

I am sure living in your mom's basement, that you have more then enough time to sit there and open up every thread on this forum, especially the ones with IL in the title, and post replies in them, especially threads that you have no business being in.

Well it is almost 4:30 in CA and I am sure your mommy has dinner ready so why don't you go shower, as I am sure it has been awhile since you have done that, so mommy can enjoy her meal, and go feed your giant gut. But do us all a favor, instead of coming back in here where you are not welcome, forget about this thread as it is basically a way for people to talk about the movie in our IL thread and not ruin it for everyone else who has real jobs and have to wait to see it this weekend. Also, as I am sure it will make you happy to hear this basement dweller, by Sun. this thread will be useless and will fall off the map forever.

I had a few minor gripes, but nothing that would ruin things for me.

For one, there were too many generic decepticons.

Second, all of the ancient Primes looked just like the Fallen.

And then the scene where they bring back Megs could have been more like it was in the book.

I think one of the main things that has turned off critics is the humor. So far I've seen a few go off about the dirty language and questionable humorous content for a movie that many people will be taking small children to.

I always find that funny. If one was so concerned about that, then perhaps they would check the rating of the movie and see what a PG-13 rating means and find out something about that movie before taking small kids to see it. It's really easy to look it up and it you can easily find detailed breakdowns about what may not be suitable and why. It's their own fault for being too lazy to care, after all, it's easier to blame later on.

I'm tired of people getting all self righteous about shit like that.

Seeing I had read the book and pretty much knew what to mostly expect, I don't think it disappointed one bit.

All the crap I read about supposedly having no legible story is also complete bullshit. I had no problem following the story one bit. Everything I read suggests that most critics didn't pay much attention at all. The first movie was a novelty to them, something quirky. I don't think any kind of sequel in this franchise would have been accepted well.

That big battle at the end was nutty. It was hard to tell who all was there. There were a bunch of the generic bots that looked too similar to Megs, and too many constructicons. I guess I can see how people might get confused, but those of us who are more familiar with the cartoons and comics can better appreciate a good fodder-bot beat down when we get one.

I think a lot of people will be a bit upset that we didn't get introduced to many new character TF's. We see a bunch more, but we only really get to know Mudflap and Skids. More Sideswipe would have been nice...He's REALLY badass!

I'm looking forward to seeing it again...and again...and again....and again..

It's going to take that many sittings to see everything you miss the first few times you see it.
