So who should helm the reboot?

    There's a thread for this already. It incorporates all my rants about James Cameron being awesome.

    Nolan's a noir director. What on Earth makes you think of him for something like this?

    I am telling you, they are NEVER going to get Spielberg, Cameron, Nolan, Favreau, Abrams, or ANY director who has his own franchise and his own legacy to direct a sequel to a Michael Bay movie.

    If they pick a new director, it's going to be either a director who hit it big ten years ago, but has sucked since then. (think Stephen Summers. GI Joe looks like crap, BTW) Or they're going to pick an indie director with a strong visual style willing to do anything for a paycheck. (think Gavin Hood and X-men) Or, as a third option, they might find an Andrew Stanton type, who's had success doing animated films, but wants to step over to live-action and just wants exposure.
