What's your guys top 3 moneyshots/short action bits?

And no I don't mean entire scenes, so don't say the "forest fight", be more specific like the 3 way sword fight during that scene or something.

Transformations can count too.

Mine,
1. Jetprime completely decimating Megs within seconds like he ain't nothing bigger then Bonecrusher. Not only does poor ol not-so buckethead get nearly half his face blown off but he gets hurled through a wall a few seconds later like a rag doll. Megs calling out for Starscream's aid after the fact made the brief bout all the more sweeter. I like to think of this as Prime's answer to the bitchslapping he recieved in TF1.

2. Jetfire transforming then swooping into the desert battle and taking on 4 cons with his axe. I cheered pretty loudly when Jetfire totally cleaved Mixmaster in half and then kicked two decepticon's asses (including the Bonecrusher clone iirc) in quick succession along with Scorponok. So much for all those armor panels on Mixmaster. It came as a suprise to me since from the early reviews I didn't think Jetfire was going to do much damage outside of squashing Scorps.

3. The Fallen using his kinesis powers to lift all the M1 tanks, rocket launchers, and artillery up to himself and just dropping them like toys down the side of the pyramid. Pretty damn cool I must say. He should have used some powers like these against some bots instead of the military though, would have made it way cooler at least for me. The kinesis display almost makes up for him being a puss in his anticlimatic battle against Jetprime. Almost.

Can't wait to see these sequences again when I go see it in Imax tomorrow!

I thought that scene of Devs ripping apart the pyramid and sucking up all the rubble was amazing honestly looked real not cheesy in anyway exp wit hthe rocks fallin down the side.
and prob the forest battle that was truely epic and amazing watch prime take on 3 decepticons fn bad ass deff could have scene prime win that battle too lol

but again i thought all of the effects in the film were amazing ILM did a amazing job and seriously some of the most realistic effects in anyfilm ive scene to date jsut some of the shots totally awed me and the other people viewing it in the IMAX

 

Too many good action sequences for me but my fave was the "forest" battle? I felt Optimus more than held his own against Megatron unlike in the first movie where he was owned. The final battle was pretty intense also!

 

When Prime flipped Starscream upside down and kicked him In the face! AWESOME!!

 

I noticed that as well. I half-knew it was coming, and I was still shocked.

 

*SPOILERS*




1. In the Forrest, when Prime fell lifeless on his side, his head tipping down, damn...

2. In the factory/warehouse, when prime shot that slo mo blast agains Megatron.

3. Desert, JetPrime taking off and saying "Let's roll".


This movie had some many great moments a top ten list would be more appropiate...

 

The whole scene in the forest is one of the finest cinematic sequences that I have ever seen in my life.

 

I forgot about that part! Prime's death left me stunned for awhile as I avoided reading any spoilers before I saw the movie.

Oh man, the face shots were brutal. Starscream wasn't the only one. Prime's close-up in the forest was painful but the most intense to me was Meg's - in the final fight! OUCH!

Yeah! One of the best action CGI I have even seen! Optimus rumbling with a bunch of Decepticons! Screamer has his arm cut off by Prime too!

 

1. Jetfire tearing apart Decepticons and not even slowing down! "That's how we did it in my day!".

2. The red twin (what the heck is his name!?!?) tearing apart Devastator's head.

 

1) When Optimus starts letting rip with his guns inside the derelict factory place, he shoots at Megatron, then smacks Starscream to one side and shoots him a bunch of times sending Screamer flying through the glass window, Prime then turns and shoots the slow mo shell at Megatron, sending him through a wall. Utterly badass.

2) The whole scene of Optimus' entrance. Him driving out of the plane and transforming on the way down, deploying his parachutes then cutting the cords and dropping the rest of the way down, rolling and then transforming into truck mode and driving off.

3) Jet powered Optimus getting some payback on Megatron. Loved how he grabbed the murder arm then twisted it to Megatron's face and had him blow half his own face off. Then he cut the arm off and used Jetfire's thrusters to blow Megatron through a wall.

4) Prime popping the second blade during the forest fight and going ape shit on the Decepticreeps. "I'll take you ALL on!" He was doing fantastic until Megs decided to be a cheapass.

All of the forest fight is absolutely stunning.

 

The Shanghai sequence-the highlight being Prime's HALO drop. That's officially the coolest thing I've ever seen a Transformer do.

The entire factory to forest battle. From effects, to music, to choreography, that whole scene was a stunning, fist pumping example of Autobots as Heroes, saving the day and kicking Decepticon ass. Prime especially. Don't screw with him.

That's kind of it, I'm afraid. I found the final battle actual quite uninvolving and limp, just lots of exploding sand and disconnected shots that were more about the human role in the battle and less about the Bots. Though Prime forcing Megs to shoot himself in the face was indeed something I REALLY enjoyed. "Still think he's gonna lose, fighting for the weak, Megs? Do ya? DO YA?" 

 

For me, Ironhide's transformation at the beginning put a huge smile on my face. Just the whole shot, working with the military and the camera shots/musical cues. Then he says "he's here."

completely badass.

 

Forest sequence!

 

i agree entirely. the first hour of the movie was totally gripping. i didn't know going in that prime was going to die so i was quite shocked.

 

Prime driving out the C17 was an amazing shot... What an entrance!

The Forest scene was badass.... the music... the second blade... the total whoop ass Prime dealt to the three Cons.

BumbleBee taking on Ravage and Ramage.... ripping Ravages spine out O.0!

 

1. Devastator combining
2. Prime having a good old brawl with Megs in the forest
3. Bumblebee tearing up poor Ravage and Rampage

 

I totally missed out in mentioning the Bee vs Ravage! Looks like he finally got one over Ravage from his G1 days! This movie really made Bumblebee a badass! He did stuff like banging the twins' heads togather etc.

 

-ironhide transforming in shanghai (whew 2 years waiting for that!)
-sideswipe flipping for the kill!
-forest fight (nuff said)

 

Sideswipe disposing of Sideways.
Prime jumping out of the plane and transforming as he hit the ground.
Hell, anytime Prime was fighting.
