I saw both in regular and IMAX and did not see any extra footage and wondering if anyone else did? Also I keep hearing there is something after the credits which is the ending to the comic book adaptation but nothing at the end of both I saw. I stayed to the very end of both and nothing!
i waited till ALL the credits rolled out, and let me tell you, it was time WASTED, nothing afterwards
I was wondering about the ending. I mean the Novel & comic state the exact same thing but there not being a scene was disappointing to say the least. I mean I stayed through credits & saw nothing as well.
Yes....I too stayed waiting till the credits ended (watched imax as well).......i wanted to see megatron speak to his army....anyways i will be checking it out in regular theaters next week...extended fights or not......this movie blew my mind.......i was five years old all over again...just hearing the words "matrix of leadership" spoken on screen made my spine tingle.
Yeah. No extra footage, just a much bigger, clearer image which is not cropped for widescreen. This was really noticeable when Devy was sucking things into his mouth; it kept cutting from huge, incredible shots to regular cropped shots, and the film quality was so, so much clearer on the Imax shots.
Basically as the others have said, if you're watching it at IMAX you'll notice the aspect ratio jumps from 16:9 to about 4:3. It's hard to miss. Of course they don't contain secret spoiler information, this is a film and not a console exclusive video game. You don't do that sort of thing in Hollywood. As for the lack of scenes at the end, it wasn't really needed. Megatron and Starscream got away. It's clear there'll be a third film. The first one just left it open in case.
even though not too much of a difference, you've got to admit.......it was awesome seing prime kick ass on the imax screen!!!
Does anyone know what the extended imax scenes show? Does anyone know what the extended imax scenes show?
The jury is still out on that. However going by the MTV Awards clip and the clip with Mikaela and Wheelie it looks like those were extended a tad.
yeah not by much though.. just a sentence longer. I haven't seen the non-IMAX version yet.. so I dunno. but IMAX was sooo BIG.. lol.
The difference is, some scenes were filmed using an IMAX camera, which fills the screen completely, and the quality is noticably better. That's what it means with scenes filmed for IMAX.
I think what Michael Bay meant was that there is 1 minute of "expanded" robot fight scenes as opposed to "extended" fight scenes
