He's the X3 Angel of ROTF. Advertised like hell but in the end isn't a main part of the movie.

He's the Greedo of this movie, get over it. Greedo had a toy too, and let's not forget that WE made Sideways a big deal, not Hasbro, not Bay. If the first time we saw Sideways was next week, or in the toy isles, we would have no idea what his place was in the movie. Greedo was a bounty hunter to make Han look cool, and Sideways is there to make Sideswipe look good, naturally he will have a toy since he's in the movie, but we glorified him more than anything, so this is why we feel his small screen time is such a big deal.

 

The same reason Bonecrusher was in the first Transformers

I think it was to show how the Autobots have been working with NEST around the globe, hunting down Decepticons.

 

Just one thing... Sideswipe cuts Sideways in half with his right arm in the movie, not his left.

Wait... why are Sideswipe's blades yellow in this one and black in the other one, while they are supposed to be gray/silver? Did you paint them black and yellow afterwards or something?  

 

That is awesome! I'm generally not one to mod figures, but I was seriously considering buying an extra Sideways to do that too.
