Is it true the film is 2hrs and 2some min??!! This would make me even more eager to watch, since I was told it was only going to last 1hr & 47 min.

You need to keep in mind that there is a movie studio putting up the money for this movie. IMAX tickets bring in more revenue from the movie, and are becoming a larger part of a movie marketing strategy.

So why can't those scenes be in IMAX scale, but still be included on regular screens?

Do you get what I'm saying?

I mean, even if my state had an IMAX theater, my argument wouldn't change.

I think the IMAX version will be 4 minutes longer, and just like the first movie those extra scenes won't make the DVD, I remember that the IMAX version of the first transformers had a few minutes extra footage that never made the dvd for some reason, the running time for the regular movie is 147 Minutes, the IMAX is 151
