If there's one thing that ticks me off, its the lack of Autobot deaths.
Although it remains to be seen how the movie plays out, the lack of any deaths in the novel has me kinda disappointed.

And add to that the ONE SHELL from a railgun which destroys Devastator.

 

From the spoilers it sounds like the Decepticons are going to be too weak yet again. The way the writers kept going on with the sequels they liked being like The Empire Strikes Back I thought okay cool it will feel more like maybe the good guys really aren't going to win this one. The spoilers make it sound like a very one sided battle though where the Autobots and humans are just beating the crap out of the Decepticons left and right so hard that it's a forgone conclusion that the good guys will dominate to point where it doesn't even feel anywhere like a close fight.

Really despise the heads on Skids and Mudflap because from the neck down they are really improvements over the first film robots. Going bolder on the colors which is a very nice touch over the often boring color pallet of the first film. More panels in the robot modes also give them more of an armored look which is also a good thing. The designs don't seem as busy so visually the flow is much smoother. Ouch though those heads make Waspinator look dead sexy.

The fans that get bent out of shape when ever you complain about anything. The worst ones though are the ones that take every complaint and somehow turn it an insult that anyone who is unhappy with any aspect of the film is mentally incapable of adapting to anything outside of G1. You could say you don't want shakey cam in the second film and someone would say you are stuck in 80's even though shakey cam doesn't have anything do with G1.

Hey man, you're perfectly alright with what you're saying here. For some reason some see any legitimate criticism as a threat to their tastes and fall back on the lamest of all attacks, by calling them a G1 fan.

 

There's a difference between legit criticism and ranting. Much (but not all) of the movie hating here falls into the latter category.

 

That's a bit of a over-generalization there, mate.

I've noticed most of your posts are fairly rational, though, which is why I haven't taken issue with them. I can accept there are flaws within the movie-verse. That doesn't "threaten my tastes." I like reading well-constructed thoughts on this subject, though those posts are quite rare, as there are a fair number of posts here in this Movie Discussion forum that are just dis-jointed rants, and deserve to be treated as such. You have to agree that what you've just mentioned surely does apply to SOME of these people. There are truly those that visit and write here who ARE stuck in the 80's and who ARE incapable of adapting to anything outside of G1.

And you do have to question the motives of some of these folks who contribute NOTHING to these boards but hate against the movie, who don't comment in any other section, and who have thousands upon thousands of posts about why they hate Michael Bay. (I'd name names here, but I'm trying not to bait for flames.)

On the other hand, those of us who enjoyed the movie and hold it in high esteem are quite often classified as Bay apologists, sheep, and the ever-popular "NOT TRUE FAN" who just accepts anything that Hasbro shits down the toilet. We are literally robbing the fandom in these folks eyes, because we don't demand what they think is better. There is just as much false generalization going on with each side of the spectrum, and movie haters and geewunners are just as guilty of it as are the other side.

It's getting quite tiresome seeing threads being created by people who dislike the movie where THEY bring the topic up for discussion and then get mad when people (horror of all horrors) post a dissenting opinion, which then gets turned into ZOMG UR HITLERING MY IDEEEEUHHHZ!

 

I think Optimus Prime said it best.......Till all are one!!!!! We're all transformers fans doesn't matter which series everyone likes more than the others but it's all still Transformers. So can't eeryone just stop the bitching till the movie has come out and we know if it's any good or not?

I get what you are saying man. It really bothered me when Blackout died in the first movie. None of the robots could take him out in the final battle, but Captain Lennox could take him out with one shot.

 

I bet if you were to get shot in the nuts, you'd die too!

Lennox deserved to bring down Blackout, though. It's Lennox getting revenge for all his friends and colleagues killed by Blackout at Soccent.
