I'm in complete agreement with you. Megs - Galvatron conversion has happened in damn near EVERY part of the TF multiverse so often that its getting old now.

Anyways, Galvatron would lose to Megs in a true fight between the 2 (IMO).

Although, who knows what'll happen for TF3?

 

HELL YES I'm glad. I've never liked the Megatron -> Galvatron idea; especially not after it started getting milked for endless repaints from RID onwards.

 

I dug it the first time. But yeah I am glad to not see Galvatron this time around like we have every other time.

 

I'm glad, but at the same time I wouldn't be too dissapointed if it had happened, or does happen at some point. I think a good reasoning for him eventually becoming Galvatron, is that something causes him to go crazy, and he paints himself purple and orange, and starts calling himself Galvatron. Though some people would inevitably draw some connections to the Joker...

Still, it's nice to see Megs get an upgrade, and stay Megs. They could also easily make Galvatron a seperate character, or a toy only repaint/retool of Megs (like Nightwatch Prime in the first movie's toy line).

 

I'm happy as a clam knowing that Megatron's still Megatron. He rebuilds himself, but stays the same. That's all I want.

Until Unicron comes in Transformers 3.  

 

galvatron and unicron should only be used as last resorts. using them is like pulling the chute.

 

I didn't think they would have him return as Galvatron and it is good he wo 't.

 

Just like Prime dying and Unicron turning up, Megatron becoming Galvatron is something I'm sick to death of.

I'm very glad they haven't opted for it in ROTF.

 

I agree with DeeFuzz, I liked it in G1 were I think the idea worked rather well, not so much after that. I actually do like the Galvatron toy repaints in recent lines. In my opinion the silver repaint they did for Cybertron and the purple repaint for Energon made those toys awesome, though whether they chose to call them Galvatron or not is not a big deal with me.

 

Color me happy   I like MEGATRON, not so much Galvatron.

 

Its cool, but im sure that they will do it in the next movie.Especially if Bays info in correct that Megs is just shown in flashbacks in ROTF. I however dont believe a word of it....

 

I agree with what you said. There's no reason to include Galvy in the movie universe. It makes no sense.

 

yep agree with you all, in g1 movie it worked, but remember season 3 and 4 after the movie, just didnt cut it like the first 2 seasons did, now i dont know if any of you read the original comics from the 80's,but in the comics galvatron came from the future i remember a particular scene where jazz is on a restraining board, with cyclonus , scrooge and galvertron around him, something is said, i cant remember what now,as i had the comics as a kid, and galvertron leans forward to jazz, and say to jazz,no autobot" i am megatron",
so in a twisted way, galvartron could be bought into the movies, in a similar way?

 

I am. I hope if they do bring him in, they make him a seperate character.

 

You are aware that it's been confirmed that Megatron is being brought back to life by the AllSpark shard, right? He's not just in flashbacks...

 

I want Megs to be Megs for this movie (only because he got little screen time last movie, but I WANT GALVATRON FOR THE 3rd MOVIE!!!!
