Rumor on Soundwave...

Had a buddy that was a extra few months ago he said there was a rumor on set Soundwave is one of the military vehicles....he is a spy.

Maybe this has already been talked about no clue but thought it was interesting not saying it's true just what he had heard.

Yea we both agreeded...like I said no clue if it's true sure extras hear all kinds of things but he did say he heard some people say that on set...but it does sound like a good way to use Soundwave.

But that brings me to another question if that is what Soundwave is ...and he stays in the hummer form to spy when the bots are around doesn't the bots have a way to know who is a transformer and who is not?

Yeah, in the first movie, Ironhide was able to pick out Starscream when he was still in vehicle mode. Maybe Soundwave has a special property that gives him a sort of cloaking with respect to whatever signal alerts other Transformers of his presence? It could make for some great Batman-style stealth hi/byes among his comrades.

I agree he could be the Transformer that makes the whole movie if the spy angle is true and they use him right....I always thought as big a fan base as Wave has it sure has been silent on him for this movie.

All tho as a HUGE Devastator fan that made my day!

Soundwave vehicule mode should be kind of like ''Wreckage''s (toy character).... A wheeled thanks or something like it... Lets face it, Soundwave beeing a car or (another) hummer type vehicule would made him too small and since he s Megatron field commander he need to at least be credible for battle... And lets not forget that if he indeed does carry Laserbeak and Ravage ''in him'' he need to be big...Anyway, I m sure they ll find him a decent vehicule mode!!!!

I do like that idea. I get the image of Soundwave being debriefed while Megatron stands with his back to him. When Megatron turns around, Soundwave's disappeared without a trace.

Bob Orci confirmed that as far as he and Alex are concerned, the Transformers cannot recognize each other in their disguise modes until they transform for the first time (and then they can remember the alt mode, obviously).

So when Bumblebee and Barricade first met, neither of them was supposed to be aware that the other one was a fellow Cybertronian (thus kinda ignoring the events of the IDW prequel comics).

Sounds like a good idea to me, at least better than the iPod idea. I just hope he looks good in bot-mode, and gets a Voyager or Ultra class figure.
