Transformers BluRay Discussion

Just picked it up from Wal-Mart (Midnight release) $24.99 for those who want to save a buck. It comes in a cool little sleeve like the DVD did last year with the BluRay borders.

While I won't be able to watch it all tonight (work tomorrow sux), I had to pop it in and just peak at some of my favorite scenes, as well as the HUD.

I know some folks who have it on HD-DVD have already watched the movie in HD, so this is nothing new, but for those who haven't, this movie is definitely the showpiece for High Definition movies. Prime's first Transformation looks amazing and little details that weren't noticed before pop out at you.... (Also, see Freeway scene).

I'm going to dive some more into the extras before hitting the sack, but I thought I'd start a little discussion thread for those who wanted to shout out about it.

It's about damn time this movie came to Bluray, I just wish it wasn't midnight, so I could crack up the beautiful audio track.

Edit: for all of the Sector 7 Website "Transmissions" go to (settings) on the second disc, then go to (none) and press right. A little S7 Cube icon will appear, this takes you to the section with 7 transmissions from S7.

I just finished watching it! it looks amazing in HD. I also got mine at walmart! The BDLive is a bit finecky. I am using a PS3. I tried accessing it right away and it was giving me connectin errors, I deleted all the bluray files on my ps3 related to TF and then tried again and it worked perfectly. The GPS feature is pretty cool. Gives you fun lil facts about where they are at a particular scene as well as whose in that scene. all in all I love this version. I also have my $10 rebate ready for tomorrow. I also saw the many collectors editions at walmart (both prime and BB masks as well as the megs transforming DVD case). The sticker on those say they include exclusive information abour ROTF. Does anyone know what thats about?

If that Special packaging version does indeed have something about ROTF, I might go and see about trading it, but that depends if under all the fluff packaging, the original Bluray case exists, because I really like how it looks with the blu borders.

QFT!!! If I wasn't at work, I'd go check this out. I'm about 100% sure it's not a trailer, but any cool HD footage from the set would be fun too, especially since these editions are priced the same as the regular BluRay.

bdlive will give you access to most the cool features. I am a huge fan of the bdlive feature set in movies. It offers unlimited potential for movies and interactive content. And TF showcases this really well. It also offers the option to release the trailer to ROTF exclusively to bluray owners.

No I mean the exclusive info to Roll On The Floor. Did you ever find out what set includes that or what the exclusive info is?
