Further proof that some fans won't be pleased unless the next movie is a shot-by-shot remake of G1's "More Than Meets the Eye" three-parter.

Agreed. Hugo Weaving's voice was SO processed, it could have been anybody for much cheaper. For me, there are a few more distinctive voices(actors) from G1 that should get a shot at reprising their roles. I have exluded Casey Kasim and Chris Latta due to Kasim's age and Latta's demise.

Frank Welker - He IS Soundwave! His Megatron voice may be too old for the part but put his voice through the vocoder and he'll do just fine.

Corey Burton - He was Brawn, Sunstreaker, Shockwave and Spike Witwicky. He's still young enough and obviously talented enough and it would save Paramount A LOT of money because many people want the three Cybertronians I've mentioned to make an appearance in the movie.

Dan Gilvezan - Bumblebee (Or as Grimlock2.0 mentioned Michael J.Fox)

Gregg Berger - Not memorable as Jetfire but IF they changed their mind about Grimlock, there is no other choice.

How are you complaining about Hugo Weaving's voice being processed, and then endorsing Frank Welker's voice to be processed as Soundwave?

Seriously, ANYBODY with a vocoder can be Soundwave. I can't fathom why everybody is so nuts to see one specific person voice Soundwave, when the original Soundwave voice was about 95% audio processing and 5% Frank.

Michael J. Fox isn't doing too much work these days...don't know if you've noticed. Sadly, his Parkinson's is getting really bad these days and has made it nearly impossible for him to work, even in voice roles. He doesn't quite sound like the Marty McFly of old anymore, either.

If Jetfire's original voice wasn't memorable, what do you care who voices him? He was probably the least notable voice of the whole cast.
