mr orci. would you mind explaining the hatchlings concept? give us a little birds and the bee's about these robo babies. when the fallen got his face ripped off, it resembled a hatchling. do all transformers start there and kind of grow a shell that makes them appear as they do as "adults"? and are their appearances at all based off of whoever raised the hatchling?

btw, jetfire's line about his honorable wheel father was hilarious...but still confusing... =P

Mr. Orci, if you had to give the third motorcycle sister a name, what would it be?

Thats a shame. I have been hanging out for Soundwave and hearing that his voice isn't going to be faithful bugs me. Then again, I should be used to it after some things in TF1. Sorry Rob, I don't want to moan at you, plus I hear Bay has the final rubber stamp, so if anyone needs a kick in his bad pants its him. :2c:

One question I have is the possible back story to the Transformers, I have been watching 'Five Faces Of Darkness' - Quintessons, have there been discussions? I know a lot of people may be cringing, but I like their role in the mythology.

First off, great job on ROTF Bob, I loved it. Same with Star Trek

    Secondly, spoiler question....

What's the deal with the Fallen? He'd been sitting around on the Decepticon ship all this time and didn't move around until "the last Prime had fallen"? Was he incapable of doing anything until then? It didn't seem very clear to me.

    Bob,

Thank you for trying. It really helps to know that you put a genuine effort into doing Soundwave's voice in a proper manner.

This sounds like a situation where we need to have some "alone" time with a certain Mr. Michael Bay. :bay

Hey everyone, UK fan here who saw the movie on Saturday, rest assured NONE of you should be disappointed!! I know we all have our favourites (mine was Jazz, say no more!!) and there are some robots with little screen time, some with lots. You have to take it at it's overall value which is that it totally kick's a$$, even over the first one!! Now onto questions....

    1. Why are some people questioning Roberto on things they haven't even seen?

    2. There seemed to be some fairly choppy edits, was this purely down to run time and might they be restored for the DVD?

Come on guys, give the man a break, personally, I liked the Twins and I know they will appeal to my little boy (after all its based on toy (i.e. children) line) and I thought the comedy was spot on.

Oh and as for Soundwave, my second fave character after Jazz, I thought his voice fitted the movie soundwave perfectly, the Vocoder would have sounded weird on film I think.

    Overall guys, an excellent job!!!

    Cheers

stating that people shouldn't be posting damn spoilers in a thread that doesn't say spoilers is not nonsense, just to you let you know.

    Anyways...

Hey Roberto I had a question for you, was there any big characters (i.e. named characters) that was dropped from the script that you could tell us?

    Thanks

    Hey Bob

    1. Is ILM going to finish the rest of the CGI for DVD, because I noticed alot of scenes looked unfinished.

    2. The voices didn't quite match up with the other movies. They didn't have that electronic feel that the last movie had , was that a choice or was there not enough time? Hope they fix that for the DVD though.

Over all it was pretty good but, but it seemed really rushed, which was kinda disappointing, but I hope you guys come back for a third becuase you guys made me become a Transformers fan from your last movie.

    Bob -

Just read your pleasant exchanges over on Aint It Cool. Don't you realize those guys hate everything? Anyway, just want to say that I really enjoyed the movie, and it was extremely apparent that the movie was aimed at Transformers fans.

yeah, Bay isn't with the next film so he's attempt at promoting the american car industry isn't there anymore. GM is bankrupt and the Volt is a terrible car, the fact that it was put into this movie by GM just to promote it speaks volumes about the movie itself. Even if GM didn't actually pay to have it in it.

are you actually on aicn? if so, that's balls man. how could you not think the majority would not think you were a hack and call you out on it?(I don't - bay's the hack - but they've been saying it since before transformers 1 came out)

these guys are fearless, if spielberg went on, a bunch would criticize him. luckily most of the time it's hilarious. The whole Avatar effin eyeballs thing is legendary.

    Hey Orci,

    Great work on Transformers 2.

    I have some questions:
    1) Where was Barricade at during TF2?

    2) Why no scenes after the credits this time?

    3) Are there scenes that got cut? Particularly robot scenes?

    4) How come there are no introductions of the new Autobots to the audience?

Hey Bob serious question here... you have any info on how I could get the screenwriting job for TF3? I mean if you guys aren't gonna write it, I have a script overview and will be finished writing it with my partner around January of next year. I'd love to apply for the job, but its hard to find that info.

    Hey Bob,

I loved ROTF, thought it was a blast, but I did want to ask you: Were there plans from the outset to have any kind of Autobot or Decepticon sequences where all/most of the team is talking with one another? I know there were the scenes with Megs and Starscream (which were fantastic, by the way :D ), but did you have any plans or shoot any scenes that had the factions coming together a la the Observatory scene from the first movie?
