Ok so there's 103 pages of info and discussion, so if this has been asked before, can someone point me to the response?

I was wondering if the second movie is going to be more epic in scale in regards to the human race knowing about the Transformers? I mean, with almost an entire downtown metropolitan area destroyed, was the entire ending battle covered up in the first movie? Will Autobots be free to walk around humans in the second movie, or is this still a secret war?

 

Pretty sure Bob's said it is addressed but didn't say how, as it's quite integral to the story.

 

mr ocri, how does it feel to have the most popular thread on the movie section of these boards?

 

  Did he ever let you out? Did you ever fight? Being stuck in a hotel room with ppl you're fighting with is awkward...

Yes, to some degree. But they didn't entirely redesign the aesthetic.

Bob....for real....let's try to make this happen. That dude is one of the most humble guys in the world, and it would totally rock to have him drive Optimus Prime as his hologram driver! AT LEAST! He doesn't even have to say a line, that would be SICK!

 

 

You could even have him say a line as Optimus Prime as the truck Transforms and he disapears. Like, "Autobots. Transform and Roll Out!"

Speaking of hologram drivers; I know it's not really an important plot point, but is TF2:ROTF going to go into the idea of that a little deeper? Like more of the bots with hologram drivers. The only ones in the last movie were all 'cons.

 

Maybe it's time to revisit the idea since I'm sure you guys have grown as writers since then.

I liked that the 'cons all had the same hologram driver. I think it would be an interesting way to subtly add more character by having each Autobot have their own unique hologram driver. Without speaking a line, just the look of the type of human they each picked would say something about their personality. And just that they actually have unique drivers says something about the 'bots in general.

It also helps get around the whole 'bots talking in alt-mode issue...

I agree. I like the idea of all the same hollograms for the cons, but for the autobots, I dunno. I think really the only hollogram they really need to hardcore focus on is Optimus. The others can be sweet looking, but not really the focus in alt-mode, ya know?
