Hello everyone

This is my first post here... love TF... been reading this site for quite a while now ... anyways I finally decided to join the board when I saw people saying it would be too difficult to introduce the Dinobots into a believable TF movie ... and I don't think so ... all it takes is creativity.... anyways I just got an idea ... if I get any more ideas I might post them if I have the time or the will lol ... so here we go ..

a long time ago .... there was an AWESOME autobot team that kicked ass.... these guys were real heroes .... they had the brutality and fighting skills of the decepticons but their hearts were pure they were proud autobots who fought for what they stood for ... anyways ... they fought and won many great battles for the autobots.... one day .... they went on an exploration mission to find the allspark.... and we never saw them again ....

with time ... their legend grew.... they become great heroes in autobot mythology...

a couple of millions of years later.... bumblebee, while driving on a road, picks up a weird autobot signature sign.... he goes to check it out... finds the site and starts digging... he diggs up a few bodies wearing the autobot symbol ... he contacts prime .... prime sees them and remembers the descriptions from the old war stories.... his spark chills thinking that this might be the legendary autobot team... anyways .... thx to ratchet's brilliance, they revive them .... one thing though... their intelligence circuits are destroyed (so theyre not as smart as they used to be but they are still loyal to the autobot cause) ... finally they get them to talk (or they get access to their memory chips whichever u like most)...

they came to earth searching for the allspark a couple of millions of years ago... they crash landed and decided to transform into dinobots since it was the perfect cover cuz that was the dominating species of the planet at the moment and they were the exact same size as the bots... anyways .... they detected the allspark signature but didnt get the chance to retrieve it cuz they were caught off guard by the same meteor shower that wiped out all the dinosaurs on earth... the meteor shower hit the earth hard (big time special effects) .... destoying all dinosaurs and damaging the dinobots and their ship .... destroying their intelligence circuits at the same time ....

so thats their story .... the problem is .... lazerbeak was hiding and he got the whole story on camera.... he reports back to megatron .... megatron, having a great knowledge of the autobot legends, knows all too well the power and the brutality of this LEGENDARY team ... he believes the dinobots might unbalance the balance of power between the decepticons and the autobots and end up being the reason for one faction winning the war .... but he also knows their intelligence circuits were damaged which makes them vulnerable .... they could be easily manipulated by someone who has megatron's charisma and intelligence ..... so he sees this as an opportunity .... he decided to seduce the dinobots into joining the decepticon cause by telling them that the autobots were the ones who betrayed the dinobots .... the autobots were the ones who created the meteor shower (or whichever story u like ... just as long megatron tricks the dinobots into becoming decepticons or make them think they were always decepticons and the autobots are trying to trick them today) ... anyways... megs is convicing he got fake videos and fake historical data to back him up...

with the dinobots at their side ... the balance of power is in the favor of the decepticons... the autobots are outnumbered ....the cons are unstoppable.... the decepticons defeat the autobots.... beat the crap out of them (we get to see just how mean megatron and his crew really are ) .... at the end.... the autobots are lying on the ground helpless .... megatron goes to kill them without mercy or honor ... at that very moment.... GRIMLOCK tells him ..... NO! there is no honor in killing a outnumbered already defeated adversary (same kind of speech Silverbolt gave megatron when he was going to kill the maximals in the beast wars ... episode: coming of the fuzors part 2)... anyways ... at that moment .... GRIMLOCK starts asking himself why is this honor thing so important to him .... he knows something's wrong.... why is he feeling that this is not the right thing to do ..., why is doing the right thing so important to him ..... finally he remembers!!!! he's an autobot! always has been and always will be! .... realizing megatron lied to him.... Grimlock exchanges looks with the other dinobots and sees they are realizing this also .... he gives them the eye signal ..... BOOM! The dinobots turn around and start defending the autobots.... now we get to see the power, brutality and fighting skills of the dinobots... they are beating the crap out of the decepticons .... chewing them... ripping their circuits out.... but they are heavily outnumbered .... they fight with great honor and magnificent courage.... the great LEGENDARY team of the autobots is back !!!! and theyre kickin decepticon ass.... finally.... the dinobots do the ultimate sacrifice... they force megatron to retreat ... they defeat his troops but at the cost of their lives.... they did the right thing... they died as heroes (i'm thinking william wallace braveheart style).... they died fighting impossible odds .... they died fighting what they stood for .... they died with honor... they died as autobots ....


so thats pretty much it .... i think it might make a movie all by itself.... or their sacrifice could inspire the autobots and so on... I can go on for hours ... anyways thats the basic idea.. I think its pretty cool I'm wondering what do you guys think of it?? Especially Orci....

EDIT: In fact, they didnt die as autobots... they died as DINOBOTS!!!... and as far as explaining why they would stay in dinosaur alt modes ... its simple... they are like megatron in the first movie... they aint afraid of the humans ... they dont feel like they need to hide from them

I hope I didnt start this , all i wanted to do is pose a question and a quick Idea to Bob. You pretty much are telling him how to write the movie if they do decide to do it. Some of the ideas even feel a little bit kidding are you trying to make fun of my idea on the previous page if so you succeeded. If not I would probabaly try to take a bit more serious approach on your ideas your take is a bit to over exagerated for my tastes. No offense meant but short and sweet is usually what gets read here.


Bob if you are reading this I had one question for you on the page previous if you read this could you answer that question.

Looking at the book that was written on this page I feel a bit silly trying to pose any ideas I had now. lol Just dont want car dinobots thats all.

Oh God, its happening. Fanfic has somehow crawled out of the fanfic subforum pit where it belongs, and has infected an unrelated thread in another forum.

Yes sadly it has. With so many robots over the past 25 years that they will just never have enough time to get around to I'm not really sure why the film would need to go fanfic.

On a related note, Bob will the second film be limited to just G1 and robot character made just for the film or do you guys plan to branch out to characters from other series for movie bots?

How about instead of the legal mess of fan made characters the battle over the winner I wonder if it would be possible to do like Lord of the Rings and just list the names of the fans as part of the DVD credits. One of those we'd like to thank the following people list and the director said for the following people to kiss his butt list.

i didnt intend to make fun of anyone ... i didnt even see what u wrote ...i just scrolled through a few pages and saw people saying it would be difficult to make dinobots believable and i dont think its true .... as far as me telling orci how to write the movie.... r u nuts???? .... lol the dude is gettin payed huge money to do what he does its bcuz hes good .... haha i am in no position to tell him how to do his job

Bob, I noticed something else:

In nearly all the scenes where Mikaela is supposedly strapping Bumblebee to the tow truck *cough*Longarm*cough*, Bumblebee is actually nowhere to be seen. What's particularly dazzling about this is that set photos show that the physical life-sized Bumblebee prop was actually strapped to the tow truck for at least some shots. So how come there's a case of Lolcats Invisible Bumblebee in the movie?

Hey Bob, I know this has been mentioned before and it might be too late this time but add my voice to the people that would get a huge kick out of seeing Peter Cullen as Primes hologram driver.

Also I know you had mentioned that it was under debate as to have the bots talk in there vehicle modes. Any developments there? I think it'd be cool and could lead to some funny scenes with the bots talking to whoever is riding in them (especially if they didn't know it was a transformer to begin with).

Speaking of voices, are we to assume that Bumblebee has his voice back entirely and will have as much dialog as any other bot?

Just thought of another question:

Just curious, has the possibility of having bounty hunter like characters in the movie been discussed at some point?

I personally think it'd be cool. It's doubtful, but it'd be interesting to see a Movie version of Animated Lockdown, or something similar to him.
