Without a doubt. During the writer's strike, Bay was pre-visualizing Transformers sequences from our treatment (mine, Kurtzman, and Kruger). Even just seeing the animatics, we were all blown away.

1. Do you get annoyed when people ask you questions like "i know you cant answer this but... "? cos it annoyes me. Oviesly u cant so y ask? lol
2.I rekon Bay is buzy right now but u rekon he could join this forum? Mabie u could seend him the link?
3.For the Premier of the movie, do you rekon it could b in New Zealand cos i dnt wanna wait a secong longer than i have to to see the movie?
4.Out of 10, what do u rekon the chances of Starscrem saying "Terririse"?
5.and finaly, will we see the Transfomers go underwater at all?

On to my question:

Hey Bob, not sure if you have read my prior excerpts on the dinobots some of which I posted here before but my question is, in your thoughts of the Dinobots do they most certainly have to shed there Dino modes in order to make a movie apperance?

In a prior question on this thread I saw somebody make mention of old school muscle cars for the Dinos and it just seems to me if you are to make them cars you might as well not even put them in the movie. Really the major appeal is the dino concept, taking it away makes them any other character, minus Grimlok really. If you havent read my earlier questions on the dino topic before here is a quick rehash.

Essentially I was thinking the idea of a dino mode mixes a bit of organic nature to it as the dinobots initially are in hiding and the organic side shields them from detection. As the dinosaur numbers thinned out they receded further in further to the deep jungles. ( for a transformers millions of years is a blip so its some what understandable ) And there are two possible real world plot devices here and that could be that it actually was the allspark landing on earth that could have wiped out the dinosaurs ( much like the commit theory ) and the reports of dinosaurs in the deep jungles that only small tribes have reported seeing could be segway to the dinobots still evading detection after millions of years. EDIT : Thought on the organic side maybe the Dbots figured out a way to grow the skin but because its fully intact they could not Transform back with out ruining the disguise. If they can scan leather cars seats and use that alt i dont see why not flesh.

Essentially the part that makes sense why then never changed their alt ( at least to me ) is that 3 TF's lived in such utter isolation and fear of being detected that they have gone a little nuts which would lend to grimloks aloof speaking and him referring to himself in 3rd person. He doesnt have to be dumb, just crazy will do fine. I would think that later on they could rescan to a differant alt to get around or they could do a triple changer type idea. The possibilities really are open there.

Just love me some dinobots thats all and Considering how great the movie concepts have looked to this point for 90% of the Transformers Seeing a Dinobot movie style I think would be something really to behold. Seeing them as old cars just feels like more of the same and not that interesting if we ever see them.
