So awesome. And yes, he should definitely have a cameo, preferably as the hologram driver of Prime! That would be such a well found Easter Egg.

However, I think you missed my question in the OP, being:

Mr. Orci, by going at the lenght of the script, is there any small indication at all about what the runtime of the sequel will be?

Also: I think you can answer this one safely. Is Ratchet coming back? We have seen movie set pics of every Autobot from the first movie, but not one of Ratchet. I mean, why would you lose him? He's the medic of the group, and I can imagine you would certainly need a doctor, knowing that the Decepticons are coming for revenge.

As for the ten character thing, that was an old thing i said before we even started writing the script. It was based on nothing.
Thanks for answering my question, I appreciate it

As my username would suggest, I am a Starscream fan, is there there anything you can give to us fans about him for TF2. Will he be a major player in the sequel? Do we see him take on Prime or this potential Jetfire character?

Personally i'd love to see a big aerial dogfight involving him. Any chance you and hint at us getting a good aerial-combat scene (with any characters)

Hello, and welcome Mr. Orci!

I did have a couple quick questions, if you didn't mind.

First, I had a question about the differences with the novelization, mainly the fate of Barricade. This may have been answered somewhere or another but should the novel be taken as the truth, or the movie? I am generally in the opinion of what we saw on the screen is what matters. If the novel is not right, then was there any disputes or issues brought up with the publishers for having that relatively large inconsistancy?

Second, I was wondering if you were familiar with how the video game adaptation went with the story and what you though of it, AND if it was based on earlier versions of the script or if you had nothing to do with it at all? The game itself is widely considered rather lackluster, but near the end of the Autobot campaign the story unfolds a bit differently, and a lot of people seem to like the way it worked. If you aren't familiar with it, a quick recap is that Jazz gets killed by Brawl after fending off Starscream and Blackout. Then, Ironhide actually takes out Brawl. Finally, instead of the humans taking out Megatron, Prime actually does.

Not trying to answer for Bob, but I believe the decision to leave his 'death' out of the first film was intentional, so he could indeed return in a possible sequel. He was intended to die from what we've seen in various other TFM media, but if I recall correctly, the 1 true timeline is that what we see on screen. Whatever happens in the comics/novels/games doesn't constitute accurate continuity.

It could be done similar to what Knight Rider does. Internal communication and maybe a flashing light on the dashboard. So if a human is riding inside a Transformer in vehicle mode, he should be able to hear the conversation as well.

However, if they're conversing with each other via radio, the voices should sound slightly muffled to indicate that they're no "cars talking loud". The latter should be reserved for dramatic scenes (like, Optimus suddenly shouting at humans or something), if at all.

Hey Mr. Orci! Welcome to the boards!

I was wondering if any of the returning bots were going to be undergoing any "upgrades"? From some of the photos we've see, it looks like a slightly modified production model Camaro is being used for Bumblebee's alt mode as opposed to the concept version from the first film.

Can we expect to see any other minor tweeks to our returning cast of characters?
Muahahahahahaha!.... ahem.... cough.... sorry 'bout that.

Hey Bob, got another question:

The "leaks" and set photos we've seen thus far, would you say it's mostly

a) lots of intentional misinformation,
b) bits and pieces that are mostly true, but we don't know enough yet to get an idea of the bigger picture,
c) a mix of both?
