i know you have already told us the bots' screen-time is going to be vastly increased...but after watching the first movie again yesterday i'm still concerned about something:
in the first movie, and i assume that this happened because of budget constraints, there seemed to missing bits...kind of like you had to sacrifice pieces of the story because the money wasn't there for them. for example:
-Barricade simply disappearing
-Megatron standing unchecked on top of that building holding Jazz's dead body for a solid five minutes (what was he doing up there?)
are we going to see more of this in ROTF? or is budget no longer a concern? Quote: |

Just got a DVR yesterday and I'm already worried I'm going to forget to record the new show you guys are writing.
So I've almost got worry down to an art form |

no offence to any fanfic writers or character creators, but it's true | to be fair, if this was a real contest, the winning bot would probably only walk by in the background during a scene at the Autobot base or something. It's not like they'd dramatically save the day and forever be inserted into Transformers canon as the greatest hero ever to live. no offence to any fanfic writers or character creators, but it's true | While I agree that pretty much all fan characters usually aren't all that good (use mine as an example), I do think there are a couple more categories they can be placed in (basically different levels of sucking). Personally I'd be exctatic enough if my characters name was used in something official Transformers product, let alone a piece of his personality or story. Quote:

Loved the first movie, it rekindled my interest in Transformers and I regularly rewatch certain scenes - they never grow tired .
Now for my question:
Judging from photos circulating the internet, it seems most of the Autobot force is made out of Chevrolet concept vehicles. I understand that, from a business point of view, having a car company as a sponsor really helps out a movie like this, but: should I be worried the Autobot faction is entirely made up out of cool new snazzy Chevies?
What I have always liked about Transformers is that the Autobot faction seems to be a ragtag group of cars (truck, ambulance, jeep, beetle, etc. etc.), I fear this feeling could be totally lost if all the new bots are cool-looking sportscars and concept cars.
Still, I'm highly anticipating the second movie and can't wait to see it in theatres! |

I know the Dinobots are hard to fit in due to alt modes and such. I say scrap the Dinosaur crap. I agree it would be one of those hard to suspend belief moments. Why not use old muscle cars for the Dinobots (in part 3)? I could see Grimlock, Snarl and Slag as 3 big old school muscle cars, Like and Old Chevy Nova, Charger, Challenger, any of those old muscle cars. They have big engines, big bodies, and are fast and aggressive. They may wind up not being as big, but their tenacity is most important. As long as they show up and kick much ass, they will be appreciated. Quote:

That's not doing the characters justice at all, is it? But having dinosaur modes in the movie would totally mess up the overall feeling and direction of 'robots disguising as vehicles' as well.
I'd say either not use them at all, or maybe use them outside the movies, in comic tie-ins or stuff like that. You know, media in which you can explore more of the world outside a 2,5 hour movie that needs a general direction to move forward in. |
