Looking at some recent images from a TF: ROTF set it appears to me that Shia's hand injury has been written into the script rather than CGI'D/framed out of the movie.
Does this mean that some scenes will have to be reshot as they fall later on in the movie than the current scenes?

Judging by his commentary on the first movie, its not that he doesnt like Welker's voice or lacks any respect for what he does and the enormous talent that he is. its just that Welker's Megatron voice does not fit what Bay envisions for this particular Megatron. Not that G1 Megs' voice wasnt as "iconic" or "powerful." And Bay didnt want to make Welker do a new Megatron voice because well, what would be the point of hiring him if he's not doing the original voice?
lump me with the "id rather you didnt" crowd as well
Weaving was perfectly fine for this incarnation of Megatron
Audition him for Soundwave. If he lands the part then more power to him but there's no need to re-cast megatron just cuz "sum fanz they tell me"
