    So Bob-O,

Any word on the trailer? I know it's coming out this fall, but they have to have started working on it by now. Have you seen any bits or pieces of it yet?

Seen lots of footage -- Bay is really getting some amazing images -- and that's before special effects!

I'll prob get moaned at for repeating a question, but what the hell! [IMG]

Bob, did ya notice the requests a few pages back for a brief blast (perhaps on a radio in the background) of one of the two iconic songs from the original movie in ROTF?
Of course I'm referring to 'The Touch' or 'Dare'.

What exactly do you mean by that? Do you mean there will be no special effects in the trailer or that the images look good even before special effects are added?

I know it seems silly but it just reads weird to me.

    Thanks again.

I took that to mean that it looks good before the CGI is added in.

    Mr Orci...
Does the Trailer help us answer some of the debates around TF fandom? I mean specifically the Ice Cream Truck and which character(s) it is and if Arcee is a single bike or not

    Thank you.

Well, except for Arcee of course... her hologram would kinda need to be a focal point... :)

Mr. Orci... when you write for a Transformer, do you start writing the same as you would for a human, and then maybe make it more 'bot like in revisions, or do you just start out in the mindset that you're writing for a giant alien robot? And is there much of a difference to you?

Also, I'd like some incite in what it was like for you to write a female transformer this time around, but I'm not sure that Arcee has been officially confirmed...

    Thanks again!

    Heya Roberto,

Question for you if you don't mind. Which would you say the story of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen does more: expanding upon concepts introduced in the first film, or introducing all new ones? Thanks!

    hey orci

how about a scene in which we follow an autobot or two(or decepticons) around from one scene to another without human characters involved.

just the two on there own for at least 10 minutes, maybe getting into fights with a decepticon or two.

that would be great for character devolopment for the bots.

Taking the questions back to the first movie, in another thread Skorpinok has come into question in regards to beast modes in the films. I remember hearing conflicting statements as to what Skorpinok was. Things like he was part of Blackouts copper mode, or meant to resemble battlefield debris. I think it had been said that he had a more animal like mentality. The impression I got on why we never saw him transform out side of popping off Blackout was because there where meant to be no witnesses to the attack. Blackout knowing humans got away deployed Skorpinok to clean up the stragglers. Thinking any human that saw him would end up dead there was no need for an alt-mode. Am I anywhere near the mark? Can you clear up the Skorpinok question at all?

    Hey Mr. Orci
    just a couple questions:

    1) In TF:ROTF is there any chance that any robot chartacters will make any refernce to other TF characters that haven't appeared in the TF movies (thus far)?
i.e. Ironhide in a huge fight scene says " We are getting slagged worse than when we got ambushed by Predaking and the seekers back on cybertron,in the big push for the all spark!"

    or

Megatron (or Galvatron??) says to Prime: " destroying you, will bring me more pleasure than when I crushed Sentinel Prime with my bare hands!"

2)the reason above I used Predaking above as a refernce and not Devastator is: in TFM the ' con tank character is refered as Devastator, but Hasbro refers to him as Brawl. I read somewhere online that Bay was upset cause it was an error that he was called Devastator in the movie, and he was suppose to be called Brawl and that Bay said the mistake would be fixed for the dvd release of the movie. well it wasn't fixed on the dvd
( at least not on my copies! lol) so getting to the point, do you know why it wasn't fixed? Bay forgot about it? lol was the character actually Devastator? if the character was suppose to be Brawl in the 1st movie, will the error in name get an explaination in TF:ROTF? and will this error hinder us from seeing a 'con character named Devastator (that is somehow like the G1 Devastator) in the TF movies?

    thanks for your time!!!

Can you give some official position on why the tank is called Devastator in the movie (TF1) but the toy is named Brawl? Was this someone's mistake and no one noticed it until the movie came out? Or was it that Hasbro wanted to call him Brawl and someone working on the film wanted to call him Devastator?

In an early version of the TF1 script, the fight between Mikaela and Trent happened because Trent was drunk at the party and Mikaela asked him for the keys but he insisted in drunk driving. In my humble opinion, this seems like a more legitimate reason for Mikaela to dump him, instead of the one used in the movie (Can I drive your fancy car? No. Ok, then I'm dumping you). This, in my opinion, made her look pretty shallow, instead of someone with good sense. Why was this changed in the final version?

On the modified look does this mean we will be able to tell who a robot is before another character says who it is this time? That little fan bonus of being able to know who a character is before the non-fans to add a little extra cool for being a fan in the first place.

If the look is going for more fan nods in the look of the robots will this apply to both the Autobots and the Decepticons?

We know as the writers you've talked about being a bit more for the old fans this time and maybe a hint about the look offering a bit more for old fans, so does this mean the entire production went in with the idea of now that we have the viewers the suits writting the checks wanted we can do more for the old fans?
