Few questions:
1) I noticed a lack of screen time for Jolt, the chevy Volt. Were his scenes cut short due to GM going under and did not want to promote a new car in the movie?
2) Why were there duplicates of the Constructions? We see Long Haul, Mixmaster, etc. fighting at the same time Devastator has already formed.
3)Who was the dinosaur looking Transformer that formed from the ball-bearings that Ravage spit out? Did it have a name?
I think the movie was great and I'm ready for the next one. Keep up the excellent work =) |

What was the point of getting Welker if Soundwave sounded like Dr. Claw. Quote:

if the governments allspark shard can bring megs back to life, why can't sams shard bring prime back? it obviously wakes up or brings back jetfire.
if the primes dont harvest suns with nearby life than who constructed the machine in the first place? it would not make sense if they had anything to do with its construction....so did the fallen and his followers construct it and the primes came to stop him?
why did the fallen wait all those years to go back to earth? if he was alive couldn't he have been there the whole time looking for the matrix?
why did the other primes not fly to a far away planet and hide the matrix from him? & why did they sacrifice themselves???
was the matrix destroyed when the fallen took it out of prime?
TF3 treatment....halfway complete!!!!

If you're still reading this bob, I liked it. Thanks. |

Congratulations on the big paycheck. I'm very disappointed with the content of the film and I kinda thought that, with you showing up here, maybe you'd help balance out some of the absurdity that Bay seems rather intent on putting in any movie, Transformers included. If nothing else, the fact that you were somewhat put off by the portrayal of the twins in the film at least validates my hopes that you guys have a brain in your head and enough rationale to say "Wait, what?"
The Trek film was fantastic and, obviously, that's partially due to a well-written script done in concert with the director. Personally, I didn't enjoy Transformers 2 very much at all. I'm kinda assuming that the same "think tank" writing style was used for Transformers 2 - you guys making constant updates to the script at the behest of Mike Bay - so I can definitely understand the idea of writing for a paycheck.
As far as I'm concerned, the Transformers film was bad. Like, really bad. However, I wonder how much of this is you and Alex and how much of it was Bay and his third writer buddy muscling in on y'all's work. If your abilities as script-writers proves anything, it's that you're obviously intelligent enough and have a cohesive enough understanding of plot, direction, character development, etc. that it would SEEM like you guys, alone, would not be responsible for the ridiculously confusing story we got.
If y'all were writing for a paycheck, (and honestly, dude, I can totally understand that, because in the film business, you need to keep the projects rolling in, regardless of target demographic, in order to get paid,) then you were writing for a paycheck and I respect that. However, if you guys really truly believed that you were writing a script that'd be accessible to a wide film-going demographic, I think you've missed your mark by a wide margin. You have certainly, undeniably, catered to very die-hard fans - this site is proof of that. However, you seem to have forgotten about the average movie-goer or, for that case, anybody with an IQ above the 90s range because, honestly, there is a lot of this film that's confusing, embarrassing and downright strange, especially when I see the "written by" credits.
Look, if Mike Bay was the be-all-and-end-all voice in what made it into the film and what didn't, from script to execution, then that's all there is to it and I can shrug and admit that, yeah, Mr. Crazy Action Film Duder is largely responsible for the direction of the film. But, if you and Alex seriously thought you were going in the right direction with this script, regardless of Bay's edits, then I just have to ask...what in the world were guy guys thinking?

Also, out of curiosity, who was responsible for the "Don't do much readin'" line? Like, I know the buck has been passed pretty well at this point between you guys, Tom Kenny and (the other voice actor, whose name I forget) and Mike Bay, but honestly - who wrote that line? EPISODE 4 IS UP! This time around, we discuss THE RISE OF THE SUPERSTAR CUSTOMIZER! |

I would like to throw in that there were a few GREAT scenes in the movie. Prime's conversation with the *beep* government liason. Prime's fight scene with Megatron, Starscream, and Grindor. Prime's conversation with Sam in the cemetery (great foreshadowing there). Sam's scene with his parents in the desert. The first scene with Wheelie and Makela.
All of the above were awesome and solid scenes. It's just that Michael Bay absolutely should NEVER BE ALLOWED to influnce the script for TF3. He's awesome for directing action, but is a total loser when it comes to script and character development. |

was the matrix destroyed? if not then if a transformer dies in TF3 then all the autobots need to do is stick the matrix in them and they rise again.... but that would be dumb so how would you explain why prime can be revived but other bots can't?
thanks
