Jolt had like one second of screentime because he was a last minute "please put this in your already-finished script please ok thank you" kinda thing from GM to the writers simply to Advertise the Volt vehicle.

Arcee was not liked by Bay, so I think he kills her off (not seen ROTF yet)

Sideswipe...well, don't know enough to give a reason.

    Ah, understood.

That said, do you think you'll be doing a Q&A once the movie is out in the States? I believe you did one after the first movie, as well as one after Star Trek with trekmovie.com. You know, just to answer nagging fanboy questions regarding things that may or may not have been under your control. :)

Roberto if Jolt and Sideswipe return in Transformers 3 and if you return to help write will you give us a chance to get to know these two new cool Autobots well enough?? These two noobs have so much potential to be kick ass and fun Imo. And also can you tell us once the time is right what the exact differences are between the IMAX and regular theatrical cut of TF:ROTF? The extra scenes in the IMAX cut that is.

Bay wouldn't go for an uber cool sounding robot voice? Makes no sense. Why did he not want the voice that way?

bay wouldnt go for the "uber cool" robot voice because he didnt go to school at bayside with zack morris where a vocoder voice might have realistically actually been cool, soundwaves voice is great in the movie and had he sounded liek old soundwave it would of been stupid

Out of curiosity, which fandom was crazier; the Transformers fans or the Star Trek fans?

    Bob,

I'm not hitting you personally on this, and not even on Bay (I had a blast with the 1st movie and am REALLY looking forward to Revenge), but not vocoding Soundwave's voice is an incredible injustice/mistake.

How hard did you go to bat for this? Soundwave's "look," personality, and his voice are the three top iconics on him.

Hmm ... perhaps you can go to bat for the right voice for the DVD/Blue Ray.

Bob, why did you let Bay underuse Arcee and Sideswipe? Especially Arcee; I know how hard you and Alex tried to get her in the last movie. Also, why didn't they combine? Look, I know Bay's the director, but you guys were the writers! Couldn't you have convinced him to give the new Autobots (aside from the Twins) some decent screentime? Also, I heard the Fallen isn't all he's cracked up to be. What's the deal with that?

Hey there ORci! Really sorry you must read through all the ranting from us fans about Barricade & Soundwave, but honestly in the end, I don't think the final decision is up to you, it's up to Bay.
With this said, I'm grateful you joined the series one more time in ROTF. This movie will be epic. I'm sure Bay picked you and Kurtzman for a reason, so heres to the best action film of all time!!

So, were the movies originally going to be smarter, like your Star Trek movies, and Bay dumbed them down for more asplosions?

We hassled him about it many times, but we can't be there every second to make sure he behaves! We got day jobs!

I got to say (and this will sound like sucking up) but I definately appreciate the way Mr. Orci is trying to answer pretty awkward questions...

...and once again I'll say: I loved Star Trek, NEVER been a fan before, semi-knowledgeble about Star Trek but this film was great and made me want to go back and check out the earlier films and shows. Probably my favourite film of the year so far...

Thanks for trying Roberto, much appreciated. I am looking forward to seeing the Movie on Wednesday.

You said earlier that you tried to fit the Dinobots in to the Movie, but in the end you couldn't get them to fit. My question is, what scenario/s did you look at to try to fit them in and give them a back story?
