Would you say the second film would be more like Fringe with lets throw some heavier science at people and drive the story by personality or would you say the second film is going to be more like the first film with lets just blow stuff up.
Ha ha, maybe the mods will not get too mad if I also take a moment to say congrats on Fringe actually being able to live up to all the hype. Nice to get a TV show where it doesn't feel you are being written down to or having every thing telegraphed because people have to be spoonfed a story these days. |

We did it again this time, too. |

I presume they decided to let them stay just in case any Decepticons returned to Earth to stir up more trouble?
Or do the government not know there is any surviving robots? | That is a good question. |

one of my concerns is that sometimes since these franchises had such huge success, subsequent screenwriters have borrowed technology and concepts from these movies. i would like to see minimal borrowing and more concepts that can give transformers its own distinctiveness.
this is also a concern i have with the designs of the robots. i would like to see more reference to the transformers franchise (cartoons and comics) and less reference to other space/alien scifi movies. | This movie will deal much more with the specific mythology of the Transformers. |

3 - Under the assumption that Arcee is indeed made of the three bikes seen in the Wal-Mart video (pink, purple, blue), what is the most dominant colour in her robot mode? | 1.) Interesting. Don't know.
2.) We wrote both scripts independent of the bot designs, although obviously their vehicle modes, in general, are prescribed by the script.
3.) Arcee?

I just saw the premiere of Fringe. Good job. | 1. No
2. Other way around. We create a sequence and they say, "how the hell are we gonna shoot that?"
3. Thanks. |

1. have you ever tangled with the idea of having one of the tiny robots in the movie transform into a child's toy like an RC truck or race car?..
like maybe at a park.. a little kid could put the toy down and it transforms into a small decepticon and runs away chasing after the autobots and the child says "mom, my toy just ran away" and the mother who can't be bothered to take him serious just says "thats nice dear" ....that would be the ultimate tribute to the Transformers and quite comical too..
2.I want to be a writer... I have really good Ideas all the time..well at least I think I do (they could be crap I don't know) ..do I have to go to school for it?...I just graduated with a bachelor degree in media arts and animation so I don't have any money left....how did you start?
thanks so much | 1.) Talked about that at some point.
2.) You don't have to go to school to write. You just have to write. If you're talking about writing scripts, try and get your hands (through the net) on as many scripts as you can, particularly of the movies or shows you love and want to emulate. You need about 3-5 good samples before an agent will really give you a read. Start writing, and keep writing, knowing your first few scripts will not be good. |

Obviously it's been known (and seen on our front page) that the real Devastator will be in TF2 as 7 robots. My question is this if this is true and he's in the movie will the combiner affect he uses be more "cartoony" (ala combiners attaching themselves in places through the air etc.) or will it look more realistically? (all on the ground and then they start attaching themselves to each other and then when finished picks itself up ala Blackout in the first scene of TF1)
I just hope it stays true to the realistic style like the first movie because I think it really made it shine that way.
That's all I have for now thanks a lot!
P.S. Fringe was amazing last night! I even have a discussion thread on this site for it, keep up the great work on that as well! http://brocklock.deviantart.com/ Check out my Design a Transformer contest entry! http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/design...wreck-gar.html |
