I remember reading that with the previous film, Patton Oswalt and some other comedians were called in to "punch up" the script. Has that been done again this time? -VELOXIRAPTOR-

(difficult i can imagine since you worked on startrek to completely remove yourself from it when writing another scifi script)
one of my concerns is that sometimes since these franchises had such huge success, subsequent screenwriters have borrowed technology and concepts from these movies. i would like to see minimal borrowing and more concepts that can give transformers its own distinctiveness.
this is also a concern i have with the designs of the robots. i would like to see more reference to the transformers franchise (cartoons and comics) and less reference to other space/alien scifi movies. |

1 - Will there be character postersfor ROTF - something similar to what they do for many "comic-book" movies, like X-Men and Watchmen, where each major character gets their own poster?
2 - What comes first, the script or the bot designs? Do you right the script already knowing what the characters look like, and what their vehicles modes will be?
3 - Under the assumption that Arcee is indeed made of the three bikes seen in the Wal-Mart video (pink, purple, blue), what is the most dominant colour in her robot mode? Transformer fan trying to defend "Revenge of the Fallen": |

Could you could describe Michael Bay's humor in two words?
How often are you guys presented with an idea for a sequence where you're left thinking "How in the hell are we supposed to write that?!?"
I just saw the premiere of Fringe. Good job. |

Are there plans to record a commentary for TF1 on a later DVD/Blu-Ray release, or just on iTunes? I'd love to hear your comments on the first movie. |

And since I guess I should post something Transformers-ish...

1. have you ever tangled with the idea of having one of the tiny robots in the movie transform into a child's toy like an RC truck or race car?..
like maybe at a park.. a little kid could put the toy down and it transforms into a small decepticon and runs away chasing after the autobots and the child says "mom, my toy just ran away" and the mother who can't be bothered to take him serious just says "thats nice dear" ....that would be the ultimate tribute to the Transformers and quite comical too..
2.I want to be a writer... I have really good Ideas all the time..well at least I think I do (they could be crap I don't know) ..do I have to go to school for it?...I just graduated with a bachelor degree in media arts and animation so I don't have any money left....how did you start?
thanks so much |

After browsing intermittently through this thread, I gotta wonder, what does it feel like to have this impassioned a response to your work? I mean, there's 100+ pages of questions by 100+ fans. I'm sure you've had amazing experiences at all the cons you've gone to, also. So how does it feel to know you've affected so many people, through a franchise they care so much about... and have they affected you, too? |
