Or in some cases, you're quoting a book that exists, and it does say what you claim it does, but the book itself is not quoting facts. There are a lot of film history books from several decades ago that worked on urban myths rather than fact, and many of these books have been corrected by later, more well-researched books, but people who read the old books still believe them.

Wiki is good for something to read when bored. It's kinda arse for actual facts though. I certainly wouldn't use it for research.
