Besides, I don't understand why people complain so much about starscream's resemblance to a chicken .. starscream is a jet-former with a characteristic screachy voice .. this movie design suits him perfectly.
My only problem is the protoform looks more human-like than the earth mode. That, is what does not add-up. If anything, it just proves that the protoform toy was ill-conceived and not well thought through. |

The legs he has for his earth mode make PERFECT sense.
He's a jet. Were he to transform in mid-flight (since he can't just have and transform and what not..since jets kinda don't hover) and land on the ground with normal legs, the impact would destroy them. With the way his legs are jointed, they can absorb the impact much much better.
