Okay, so I have been bouncing around a few different forums now and then and it seems that quite a few people like the notion of Barricade really being Prowl in disguise. I, for one, do not like this idea. I mean Prowl is a cool character and all but I just love the character of Barricade. He is second as my favorite movie character (blackout being first) and I am crossing fingers he will be in the sequel. I just like the fact that he is a police cruiser as well and one of my favorite cars too. It really is like the epitome of a decepticon to be something so trusting to us and yet be so evil. so double crossing. What about you guys, any thoughts? |

#2 | | Red Mage in Training Join Date: Oct 2002 Posts: 251 Location: Corneria | I definitely think they should be kept as separate characters. Barricade was great as is, and doesn't need to be shoehorned into being Prowl.
That said, I wouldn't mind seeing them in the same movie together, as it would be great to see them fight, cop vs. cop.

him being prowl makes no real sense--just guys unwilling to accept a new idea,i expect.

I've seen to many good movies destroyed because of rushed sequel and Im not about to let Transformers become another. | |

I think the idea of Barride being Prowl in disguise is interesting, but I'm not buying it all the way. I was thinking of Prowl getting into a fight with Barricade, scanning his alt mode, changing the "Punish and Enslave" back to "Protect and Serve" then doing some infiltration. Showing up a to some Decepticon expecting Barricade and being totally blown away by Prowl. | |

Sure, one can use Punch and Counterpunch as examples but Counterpunch's sometimes written as a split personality of Punch's. Barricade and Prowl should be kept as two different characters. If the film folks decided to use Prowl, they should use his G1 personality as at least a base to draw on.
Heh, whole new meaning to good cop vs. bad cop. That would be nice to see...
