Thursday: Only $18.31M – went down 37% - OUCH. If this keeps up, no sequel.

Wednesday was a public holiday. Everyone was off work, so hence it did huge numbers. Thursday is just a weekday. Not many people go to the cinema. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will have huge numbers again. It's already made $80 M+ in the US alone and it's still got it's first weekend to go. It'll easily get to around $130 M + by the end of the weekend. JOIN THE ROGER EBERT FAN CLUB | Sales Thread |

They will have already doubled their money invested in the first week.
The north American estimate is $150 Million by Sunday night and this does not include the monstrous ticket sales that are being sold overseas.
This is one of the few films where people will watch more than once.
Sales go down on Thursday but they go back up DRAMATICALLY on Friday and Saturday. www.urbansamuraihobbies.com |
