They're not artist signatures. On the profile-view images of Prime and Megatron, you can actually see three characters on Prime and five on Megatron. One on the front of his helmet above his eye, and the other two on the circular part of his helmet near the vents. Megatron's are on the crest of his helmet, his "cheek", and the front of a side panel of his helmet.

The Japanese press kit for the movie features an image with similar characters.
