Eh... the difference is pretty striking. Even the two different movie symbols shown are different. I like the version on the police car better. Doesn't seem as long in the jaw and the outside lines are a bit more interesting compaired to the "metal" movie symbol. Well...maybe the two movie symbols are the same and the bevels and stuff make it look different.

But yeah, I can dig this new design.

 

Meh. The change doesn't really matter much to me. It's not like some of the other changes that have been done. Rather a change like this than totally recreating the faction symbols.

 

EXACTLY! Yeah, I dont' really see the symbol as "different" as being just a slight variant... I almost wouldn't even call this change.

Anyhoo, I don't see it as that big a change. Apart from the eyes, everything looks pretty much the same as always. Personally, I think the new symbol looks great. It makes things look a bit more "new", while not sacrificing the iconic look of the old insignia.

I agree it is a slight change. Though IMO the bottom looks a bit to slender, but it's probably that I'm so used to seeing the original.

 

Evil? It looks like it's squinting, like Mr. Magoo as the Decepticon logo... Oh my god! That IS a scary thought.

 

I'd always noticed it. It's not the end of the world, but I can't say I think it's a good change. It looks like the old symbol in the wrong aspect ratio. You'd almost think it was a screw up rather than a redesign, and it leaves too much empty space on the mouth area.

I noticed the change when I first saw the wallpapers posted on the official site. I like the new designs better. I think it was a good way to modernize them without ruining the look.

When my kids saw the new simbols, they knew exactly what they were, but when they saw the new megatron designs for example, they said "what is that?"

 

it's the same damn symbol! one's just longer, i don't even see that much of a difference, and the autobot and decepticon and predicon and maximal symbols have all changed over the years, too.it's not a first.

or did we all forget the G2 symbols? *which in my opinion are the best symbols*

Yeah I never noticed till now. But I like both designs.

 

i prefer the old classic one, the modern is to skinny compared to the fat one, if you want my opinion we should be able to actually SEE the TF symbole on the robots when they first fights, just as the usual shows ^_^ who agrees on that?

 

I'm all for pissing and moaning about the changes, but this is freaking ridiculuous. I personally am fine with the Autobot and Decepticon faction symbols.
