I can never decide which of the bayformer movies I like best; I am constantly deciding that I hate DotM and RotF is actually better in retrospective, but then I flip flop and like the first one or AoE and hate the rest.

They're all chock full of stupid shit, but they're also full of goodies, and each one's goodies are good for different reasons.

Transformers 1- Mission City/ Los Angeles: pretty sweet battle, though the transformers are often obscured by shaky cam and human-level perspective shots. It's still very cool and makes them look very powerful. The Decepticons are at their most menacing in this one.

RotF- kind of a classic G1, guerilla war in the desert, but the Cons are inconsistent and so is the geography

DotM- rewatched it last night and I (currently) think this has the best final battle in all 4. Everything about it is awesome, its huge, its the first movie on steroids. Remember Starscream vs. The raptor jets in the first one? Well here he does it again with NEST and the action is glorious. The geography had vastly improved over RotF as well. Cool battle tactics, cool scenery, amazing visual effects. The CGI was truly at its peak in DOTM.

AoE: for awhile I liked it, but its ridiculously cartoony in both its effects and script. Its really kind of terrible, but it's more fun than RotF.

DOTM had a pretty good final battle because the objective was never forgotten and the stakes were high. The first movie had the most organized, but this one was really entertaining. ROTF and AOE final battles were too cluttered, especially aoe.

Anyone who can't keep track of the mission objectives simply isn't paying attention.

The movies practically walk you through them step-by-step ahead of time, lol.

hm..this is a tough question..if you count the scene of optimus & jazz turning on a dime to regroup with the autobots/pre-nest motorcade as the beginning of the climax of film 1, i would say film 1

i would agree about dotm...visually speaking, it's the most beautiful of the 4 films

Oh that's a though one! I have to agree so far. I wan't a huge fan of ROTF and AOE was basically another form of protoforms. It's a huge tossup between 1 and 3. They were amazing! However I'm leaning towards the first one. Mainly because there is a change I would've made in each but the 1st movie would've been the simpler of the 2.

In the first film I would've had Ironhide and Ratchet have a hand in finishing off Blackout instead of just Lennox. (You have to admit even with all the other Autobots almost every major fight can basically be called the Optimus & Bumblebee show).

In the 3rd film I would've gotten rid of the stupid protoforms. I can't begin to tell you how much I HATE them in 2,3 & 4. Yes, I'm calling them protoforms in AOE because they're a bunch of no name Decepticons that were man made and wannabe T-1000's. With a force as powerful Sentinel, Megatron, Shockwave, Starscream, Soundwave, Barricade and the Dreads, they could've made the Decepticons in AOE so much more "competitive." The first film had it right. Not sure who's bonehead idea it was to change it.

AOE is easily the best final battle in my opinion.

The action is clear and very well choreographed.

It has the most "robot vs. robot" of the final battles.

Dinobot Charge, Hound and Bumblebee's stand, Bumblebee vs. Stinger on Strafe (the most underrated action scene in the films), and Lockdown vs. Optimus are excellent.

One thing in the final battle that does not get enough credit is Galvatron even if he does not do physical fighting. I really like that the Decepticon leader is constantly giving his minions orders like a faction leader should. You see him note the Autobots' arrival, and he commands his Decepticons to shoot their ship down, and you then see a KSI Trax transform and fire a missile that brings down the ship while saying, "Piece of sh*t!"

I'm sorry, but I completely disagree. AOE was the worst. It had the most bot vs bot action? What? Hound and Bee were just shooting into the distance while Prime and the Dinobots just plowed through fodder. The only bot vs bot action was Bee vs Stinger and Lockdown vs Prime.. The film with the most bot vs bot action was TF1. I reckon you re-watch AOE's final battle and TF1's and then compare which one is really better..

Just because you get to see each Autobot in battle (in some way shape or form), I actually like the end battle for ROTF. There's just something about that particular end battle that I really like.

Of all the films, ROTF is the only one I still actually watch (willingly). Hell, I even liked the minor Twins.

ROTF is my favorite of the four films. AOE is my least favorite by a galaxy wide landslide.

I think I'll vote for RotF, as well. I like the setting a lot, the battle is well-paced, the geography of the action very clearly defined.

    For me, in order:

    RotF
    DotM
    AoE
    '07

2007's is the best, but AoE's is my fave.
RotF's was okay minus the wrecking balls.
DotM's was way too damn long, with way too much Shia.

I have watched one in front of the other, and it's definitely better in my opinion. In my mind it's not even close. Granted I do really like Brawl fighting the Autobots and military.

They both have plenty of human scenes, but I like how the humans help the Autobots more in AOE.

Also "the only bot vs bot action was Bee vs Stinger and Lockdown vs Prime?" Lol what? Hound and Bumblebee were fighting Galvatron's Decepticons. The Dinobots were fighting Galvatron's Decepticons. While I do think the magnet scene should have been shorter by a minute or so, I do love the Dinobots evading Lockdown's magnet before getting caught in it. The individual trying to catch them was...gasp...a robot. I even like little things like Slug catching an Orbital Assault Carrier in his mouth or the Trax shooting down the Autobot ship.

Also, technically Optimus vs Grimlock is robot vs. robot action.

Also, Lockdown vs. Optimus > Megatron vs. Optimus. I don't dislike the latter either. I just don't like it as much.

If you like on over the other that's fine, but don't say that "Lockdown vs Prime and Stinger vs Bumblebee" are the only robot vs. robot action scenes when they're not.

And even though it's not my choice, I do think those who picked ROTF are making a great case. My biggest complaint about Devastator's wrecking balls is that we don't see enough of them. Devastator should have wielded them as a mace-like weapon and tried to take out the Twins that way.

    I'll go

    TF07
    AOE
    DOTM
    ROTF

It was really close between 07 and AOE. Both were a lot of fun and a good balance bot vs bot action. I gave the edge to 07 because while the magnet scene in AOE has some cool visuals the film was going on for too long at the point and that scene didn't really need to be there besides Prime and the Dinos getting sucked up. Also that film's final battle begins with the worst scene in the film, that damn elevator scene.

I'm not really a fan of DOTM or ROTF's final battles. Both had their moments but just way too much military focus.

I thought what you meant by "bot vs bot" was hand to hand combat, sorry.  But I do see where you're coming from with your opinion, and I respect it.:thumb  And sorry if I came off as rude in my other post

No worries. I don't think you were rude at all. It was just a misunderstanding. I do think there could be a case made for any of the films having the best final battle of the films. In the end which one we like best is based on our personal preferences for what we want in a Transformers battle, and for the record I think the ideal live action Transformers battle would have some elements from all of the final battles while not being entirely like any of them, and it would also have some things not present in any of them so far.

I will say that I do want to see more major battles outside of urban areas on Earth, especially given that the Dinobots have already debuted in the films and Prime is in space. That includes on mountains, canyons, jungles, forests, open plains, underwater, glaciers, and off world. Hopefully in The Last Knight we get some battles in the rural British Isles and not just the streets of London.

Has to be the first movie for me. It easily has the best fight choreography, and it manages to give regular sized TF a sense of scale. They're giants among humans. Seeing people run as Optimus flies into a building, or a woman scream as Ironhide flips over her adds to the feeling of Transformers being titans, fighting for the fate of the helpless (I think I've used that exact phrase twice before).

Each Decepticon gets some spotlight, and it's a struggle to take them down. With Brawl bombarding the 'Bots, it takes them ages to get close to him, then it takes all three of them to take him down. The whole sequence is filled with awesome moves, with Ironhide leaping over rockets, as he fires off his own, and Ratchet leaping over Brawl as he cuts his arm off. Then Brawl just gets back up.

Screamer actually remembers he can fly, and very possibly manages the deal the most damage of the whole battle because of that. He bombards 'Bots from the sky, drops down out of nowhere, and even uses his disguise to attack, then escape a squadron of Earth jets in an awesome flight sequence.

Megatron is as powerful as the 'Con leader should be. He actually gets to kill an Autobot, tearing Jazz in two. He then beats Optimus around, showing that even for the toughest Autobot, he's a threat. Then he chases after Sam like an unstoppable monster. In the end, it takes the power of the Allspark to defeat him, which is sadly delivered by a human. It would've been nice if that was a plan Optimus came up with, to take advantage of Megatron underestimating humans. Optimus seems like an idiot for going on about killing himself with the Allspark, and not thinking to use it on Megatron.

The human soldiers are appropriately useless at first, being unable to do more than annoy Brawl. Then the legless Bee, with the help of a tow truck driving Mikaela, manages to take him down, revealing a weak-spot. I'm admittedly not fond of the idea of a one-hit-kill spot on all TF, but since Blackout is bombarded by a squadron of jets as Lennox shoots him, it's easy to pretend the missiles killed him, even if the film clearly implies otherwise.

Overall, the first film's final battle is almost everything I want in a TF fight sequence. None of the following films come close. The 'Bots mostly stand around shooting, using ordinary weapons to kill useless generics. Plus, the humans become far too powerful, while the 'Cons just get more useless. They use spectacle of extra giant TF, and huge armies, at the cost of interesting fight choreography. I seriously hope the Last knight sees a return to more powerful 'Cons, and more awesome moves for the 'Bots.

Now I have the strangest mental image stuck in my head.

Anyways as for the topic, I would have to say my favorite final battle would have to be AOE, the fight between Lockdown and Optimus was well made, I loved the scenes with the Dinobots, the Autobots battle scenes were intense and entertaining to watch, and I just love how much destruction there was in the scene.
