I don't kinda get why people actually want him to speak. I know radio language has been his thing since 2007, but don't you think he doesn't need to talk. For him, actions speak louder than words, and I think he sounds cute when he makes that sound

I think one of the main reasons people want him to have a real voice is because his role in the movies is getting more serious. In the next movie it seems he's going to be leading the autobots and no one would take bumblebees leadership seriously if he's using his radio voice.

He does speak, actually. He's just playing it off.

He used his own voice (an uncredited Mark Ryan) throughout the films:

2007 - "Permission to speak, sir? I wish to stay with the boy."

2009 - "What is your purpose, Sam?"

2011 - "I'm just trying to help out."

2014 - "I hate cheap knock-offs, this child is about to kick your ass."

He should drop the radio gimmick though if he wants to be able to work in his own film.

Not directed at you per say but that's pure BS! A leader is a leader because he leads and is good at it. Sure a voice helps but Bee has gotten by this far and while not a true voice, he still speaks and gets his point across just well IMO. Any Bots that would decide not to follow him because he doesn't have a true voice, would be a very shallow move for them to take and would not be needed as far as I'm concerned. Shit, there are real world def, blind and mute leaders and they still lead and or get their points and view across. So why couldn't Bee?

I agree with you and we have seen that bumblebee had already taken command while Optimus was missing in AOE. I don't think I was very clear in my response but I'm not referring to the characters in the movie not taking him seriously but rather the audience.

At this point, I don't mind Bumblebee not having a real voice. The radio voice has so much character to it, and is just iconic for the character from the movies. Besides, leadership skills is about having a sharp, tactical mind, good diplomacy skills, and a strong sense of right and wrong, not being able to communicate normally.

Actually, I junk the audience would take home very serious as a leader type. Everyone has already excepted him as the second in command even with his speech issues.

Good, maybe these 3 will follow Prime back to Cybertron and Bee, Hot Rod and whoever else comes in can move forward for TF6 lol.

I agree 110% I'm a bumblebee fan, but he doesn't need any words to convey emotions. It's part of his charm

Only the first example was really his voice...and the second wasn't even actually in the movie, lol. All the rest were samples.

What he has left for a voice at this point seems to be just the scant utterances he mumbles out like the "WHA-EVA!" he says to Sam in TF:RotF.

I'm not expecting him to get a real voice at this point though if he does that's cool.

It's just stupid and annoying, so they can basically mimic metal and generate it out of nothing but can't fix a fucking voice box, not to mention the whole radio thing doesn't make sense, I mean how does he find all the radio clips, live-stations? Damn it makes no sense and come on we need some more character developement and anything besides giving him a voice could be taken as a failure!

The radio voice is what MAKES HIM UNIQUE. It's part of his character. The younger fans love it and with them using radio clips and other voices for him to talk, they can have him say anything they want. As for how does he get the clips, it's called THE INTERNET. You know, where someone can see, hear and learn anything. So yes it does makes sense and out of all the Bots, beside OP, Bee has gotten the most character development lol.

You always say this. His character is the one with no voice. It's movie Bumblebee, if you want a talking one go somewhere else.

    Exactly.

I didn't know you could access the web via car radio, especially on a 77' Camaro. The thing with the voice worked only for the first film now it just adds nothing new to his character...

Personally, I suspect the real reason Bumblebee didn't have a voice was because the writers considered the dialogue for the main character's best alien friend to be an extra challenge they could do without. The radio voice was the perfect solution (the real credit goes to R2D2).

Now, though, it has become part of his persona. I really can't decide if I want him to get his voice back or not. Maybe during some sort of epic scene. That could be the title of the movie after the 'Last Knight', 'How Bumblebee Got His Voice Back'.

And I will always say it because it is a fact, movie or not characters need to change, Optimus Prime has, Megatron has, there is absolutely no reason why Bumblebee shouldn't and I think this is the direction they seem to be taking, somethings just can't happen with hom not having a voice sorry.
