Since the Bumblebee movie is supposed to hit cinemas in 2018, that means pre-production should be underway right now and they would have to start filming next year, but we havent heard yet who will direct Bumblebee solo outing.

so in your opinion when do you think we will hear about the director, maybe in the coming months, or during New York Comic Con, or like with The Last Knight (where we had no word on Bay directing till early this year) we wont hear about a director till next year

Pitching my guess for after a Super Bowl trailer or something of the sort

 

i really hope this movie fleshes out bumblebee and gives him the characterization that the promotional material has advertised.

using his radio to speak in the first movie was cute and all, but it's really old now.

... well, his voice at the end of the first movie wasn't all that great either. so, hopefully he'll get a new voice if he gets one at all.

 

It's hard to say since this quick cycle thing of a movie in the franchise every year is new for Paramount.

Marvel/Disney and Warner Brothers like to announce things while they are promoting another film, but when you have that many Marvel and DC movies coming out that quickly I guess you just about always have to stay in promotion mode. With Paramount we don't know if they focus all their announcements and promotions on the next Transformers movie or if they will start the news cycle for the Bumblebee movie while promoting The Last Knight.

 

Maybe they will film tlk and the bumblebee movie back to back. Would make for a quick turn around time.
