Collider is on set right now. They said Paramount told them that they can take photos and tweet stuff. Updates: https://www.instagram.com/p/BIuxnPdjWeS/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BIu8mwCD96F/
This will be..interesting. Especially since Collider is particularly harsh on the TF films. Also didn't some press go onto the set of Justice League recently to see how it was being made.
Seriously! And I especially LOVE that most of it is a hot 15 year old girl's snapchat, lolwtf. Wait. Are there actually people out there who DON'T love Quentin Tarantino's movies? Because I kind of feel like their opinion on matters of cinema would be automatically invalid.
"Transformers: The Last Knight is definitely going more cosmic." Yes! I love that the film is continuing with threads and characters from the last film with the Knights and Creators and what not. I loved Lockdown and the scenes aboard his ship, so I am definitely down for more alien goodness in this one. I like Transformers best when its universe is more than just Autobots, Decepticons, and humans.
It it just me, or does it seem like Paramount is being a lot more transparent on this movie. For some reason I'm getting the feeling from this publicity stuff like they know they have something special coming out and they want everyone to know. Is it just me??
I've thought that too, this time they're sending out promotional info, posters, designs, and billboards far earlier than b4. Maybe Bay got tired of people trying to steal his computers. Or Paramount finally has enough big $$$ to promote TF5 to garner interest in the general audience movie going public, not just TF fans.
It's called the Hasbro Cinematic Universe, and they want as much positive buzz about it as they can get.
Considering transformers has no direct competition Hasbro probably wants to stand out from the rest of the cinematic universes. Marvel and DC will keep butting heads but if Hasbro can put out a solid transformers movie that's liked by both critics and fans then they can easily win at the box office down the road.
Well, Transformers Cinematic Universe. The Hasbro Cinematic Universe seems to exclude Transformers and focus on the other properties.
Yes, actually. The Hasbro Cinematic Universe - excluding TF currently - will crossover G.I. JOE, ROM The Spaceknight, M.A.S.K., Visionaries and Micronauts. They currently got Akiva Goldsman who did the TFCU writers group to spearhead a writers group for that - one of those members is Brian K. Vaughn. Yeah.
I don't recall it ever being outright said that it's separate from Transformers, and I can't imagine them leaving their biggest boys toys brand out of this.
Hey! If someone's interested there are some tweets from the set from the reporters plus some explosion: https://mobile.twitter.com/5Transformers5 Steven Weintraub from Collier said to expect the report around August 16th.
