Huh, never caught that. Thanks :thumb s

Says the guy who takes every opportunity to advertise the threads in his signature to stroke his ego?

Yeah, the guy who passive-agressively insults everybody who disagrees with him is somebody to be reliable in understanding what it means to be humble.

The asterism page makes it clear that it is not the same thing as a constellation because it potentially could mean a star pattern encompassing more than one portion of a constellation.

The problem here isn't what Orion's Belt is on pure terminology, the problem is you used the incorrect term - you didn't even need to specify that it was a constellation, just saying Orion's Belt would work since everybody knows what it is - and here you are passive-aggresively acting like I didn't read the page...where it clearly says Orion's Belt is not in of itself a contellation. Something as simple as a terminology goof has you acting like you were insulted when that was the only thing you got wrong, and so you attack me yet again.

So you went to all this trouble to whine at me about how I don't pay attention to the film...while within that time frame somebody simply posted the exact bit I was asking for and didn't need to act like the only way I can't know about that one bit is that I never saw the film and so you feel like you can talk down to me.

And where is 'The Dagger's Tip'? Because drawing anything close to a straight line from the direction indicated in the line of the pyramids...misses both the tip AND Petra by a wide margin.

    Hahaha...MINE, too!

    <3

Aww. My poor dear. It's almost as if someone spends all of THEIR time shitposting the movies YOU love!

Addressing your most recent post first, I advertise my threads when they're on-topic because I hope they will be helpfully informative towards further discussion. Call that "ego" if you must, but I certainly wouldn't call it a BAD thing.

And, speaking of "humility," here you are doubling down on your defense of splitting hairs over the meaning of The Belt of Orion vs. Orion itself vs. Constellations. Have fun with that, no one else cares. See also the first sentence in this link. "In everyday usage..."

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constellation

Likewise, DOES a view from the Pyramids of Giza towards the Belt of Orion afford a direct line of sight at daybreak towards the mountains of Petra? I neither know nor care. The point is that it is to be assumed so for narrative purposes.

Kind of the same way people in China don't give a shit if the Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum opens up into the Airplane Boneyard in the SW desert, so why sacrifice a cool story point over it?

    Oh, and...

    1. The definition is amorphous.

    2. No one cares, it has nothing to do with this discussion.

    3. No one cares, it has nothing to do with this discussion.

    4. N/m, already covered that.

    ;)

It was poorly written. I recommend you watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rrvkU85YDU

The writers admit that the film was awful and explain that they were forced into writing in characters and plot devices (Devastator's death) at the last minute so the military and Chevy could get some promotion.

In the movie continuity, he was never called Orion Pax.

According to tie-in comics, at first he was just Optimus but later, he was revealed to be a Prime by Sentinel Prime.

Well, the tie-in comics are IRRELEVANT towards future films, on NUMEROUS grounds, first of all...

Hat-tip to your magnificence! May a squadron of beautiful vaginas find their way to your crotch by day's end!

Also, some people will argue the most minor, insignificant detail in order to, you know, try to win an argument.

    Because, you know.

Here to stir the shit as usual! :lol  if you have nothing constructive to add to an argument, sometimes it's better to keep quiet than just create further division. Because, you know..

That was an interesting listen! Maybe I'm being cynical, but what I took away from this is that the reason we got such an inferior Transformers 2 was because Bay wanted to make sure he and his mates got a pay day! :lol

He (maybe orci I think) made a good point about ROTF being essentially a show reel of huge special effects set pieces that they had to try join together with a vague story. Very honest.

I'm not so sure he wasn't at least partially trying to cover their asses. They have wrote some pretty stupid stuff that had nothing to do with Bay. Cold fusion bomb to freeze a volcano, anyone...

My understanding of the writing process is something like this:
-Writers lay out the initial foundation of the story
    -Writers go on strike
-Bay writes (according to himself) "most" of the script during the strike
-Writers come back from strike at the very last minute to finish the script

So there's plenty of blame to go around for everyone, and it's honestly amazing that it wasn't even worse.

    We're done.

You people seriously need to stop talking to each other like this. It's ridiculously childish.
