Might wanna update TF Wiki on that if that's the case. On there it says only a section of the ship is the Knights Temenos.

Watched it again, Lockdown talks about the whole thing as '' remember this ship, built for all you knights'', then in cage area ''welcome back to the knights' temenos'' with showing knight statues at the background.

I take it as only that area was called knights' temenos.

Yes the caged area within the ship is CALLED the Knights sanctuary. That's why When Lockdown tells prime about it he says looking around at the cages "You have disgraced it." Otherwise Lockdown would have called it Temenos when he was wheeling prime to the prison area. He simply says "remember this ship" and Prime doesn't even give a response. It's only once they get within the actual sanctuary part of the ship "area that's been disgraced" does prime say his line.

 

Wow, brilliant! That would make the most sense at this point. The last thing we need is another crashed ship to add in the list.

Not ruling this out as a possibility, this too would be yet another clever move in joining the stories told.

 

Im sure Prime recognized the ship even without having to be in that specific portion of the ship. Hes been on that ship before in some way. Otherwise how would Prime know that the ship had other ships that could detach? From the looks of the ship when Tessa, Cade and the others were running around, the majority of the ship was turned into prison areas so of course Prime would say Lockdown disgraced it. Meaning the ship, not just that section of the ship.

But as for Lockdown not calling it Temenos when pulling OP to his holding cell, it could just be bad writing, as how much in these movies has really been written well enough for us all to understand what is supposed to be what? And or when Lockdown looks up and admires the ship when saying "Welcome back to the Knights Temenos Prime". It could just be at that point he finally decided to use the Ships name.

I also IMO believe the ship being called "Knight ship" is like how we would classify our ships now. Carrier, Cruiser, Destroyer so on. IMO a Knight Ship isnt so much the name of the ship but the CLASS of ship, whereas "Knights Temenos" would be more fitting of that Knight Ship's name.

But I guess we all will never truly know as all these wiki sites say something different and can be edited right? Unless the writers actually flesh out the ship in this next movie, we are all left to guess as its not 100% clear from the movie and not so great witting as to whats what.

 

That definitely wouldn't be common knowledge. He is familiar with the ship.

 

Well yeah, he obviously knew about the ship. I took it that he was just super disgusted when Lockdown took the certain Protion of the ship (which was the sacred knight circle area) and turned it into his Trophy room. And Optimus extra mad about his disregard for the Knights sacred area. Either way I can totally see why it is confusing. The ship is definitely just called "knight ship" yet they never even say that in the film. Lockdown just mentions it was built for the Knights. The name department was poorly handled.

 

It could be the Knightship because there could still be plot-points unraveled.

Why another ship for that? I've no clue.

 

Optimus himself specifically says, "The arms of this Knightship detach."
