I have to disagree. Megatron was acting like a bitch. Letting Sentinel Prime man handle him and letting him give orders.

I guess it's not about the artifact now.

not disputing any of this...im simply stating that scene was unnecessary as we would have understood megatron turning on sentinel after their altercation earlier in the film...it's even more comical megatron would allow her to live...right or wrong..it coulda been handled better

i apologize for shifting the dialogue of this thread..wasn't the intention i just hated that scene

I'd like it to be in England. I'm under the assumption that Megatron and Sentinel only wanted Earth's resources.

Remember friends, the reason for anything happening in Chicago in the first place, was that the secret NEST base, was already located there . . . where Sentinel was brought back to consciousness . . . where he also betrayed the Autobots, and made his move. It was the closest largest city to host his siege, nothing else.

Not saying you aren't onto something, but I too lean towards England, and Excalibur, or key to vector sigma, or whatever.

Filming was in Chicago but in-movie location was Washington D.C.

Possible, but I expect that the mcguffin will be found in England, considering the Knight theme. Chicago could just be where some Cybertronian refugees live, as it has been hinted at there being a lot of those around the world in TLK.

Not necessarily. One thing I found odd about the 'Con plot in DOTM was that, even if Cybertron was rebuilt, its source of life and energy, the Allspark, was gone. If this artifact can only repower Cybertron, it could clear up that plot hole, while still leaving the planets cities in need of repair (by a human slave force).

I still consider the scene incredibly stupid. I mean, Megatron should be above anything a human says to him. The idea of him letting a human trick him into getting himself killed is an insult to the character.

Yes, but it was improved a fair bit by Megatron being silent. None of the babyish dialog he had in the movie.

What are you talking about? Carly didn't trick him into anything. If anything, Megatron set himself up by gloating over Optimus instead of finishing him off.

No matter what, Megatron was still an idiot with babyish dialog.

Once again.. We fans are thinking way more into things than the writers/producers/director are.
