If there is one thing good I think we can all agree on about this franchise. it's the speculation and the hype building up to the films themselves. Say what you want about the movie, but the build up from the sets to the first trailer is what I am looking forward to the most.

 

And to think it's more interesting than seeing the final product!

 

Both Curious and Excited - Especially since this is the First TF Movie without Ehren Kruger writing the script - Excited to see what Ken Nolan and his team will do for TF5

 

Can't wait to find out what they will reveal.

 

I still think they are leaving it really late in production to be ready for next summer... Another ROTF RUSH JOB by the sounds of it

 

technically the first time he said this is my last film was with DOTM, not ROTF, with ROTF what he said was that he wanted to do ROTF, then a smaller movie in 2011, and then after that do TF3 for 2012. but Paramount wanted DOTM out in 2011, and not 2012 as Bay originally wanted.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Ehren Kruger wrote the script to TF1 (2007) either.

I'm super stoked. The movies are all I really follow anymore, I can't get into RID and I'm a little burned out on G1 after 30 years.

Oh trust me I am EXCITED. I want to see new cars and guess who they can be, when the pics come in it will be like a puzzle to figure out what goes down in this film.

Y'know, this wait for filming to start reminds me of those times when everyone was desperate for new TF4 trailers...we waited...and waited...we waited so long there were entire threads dedicated to the question "WHERE THE NEW TRAILER AT" because dammit were we ever thirsty for new footage of SOME KIND.

Have we learned nothing after 4 movies? Bay will just give details on who his main human cast members will be, and then tell us piece-by-piece what we may see for Transformers.

My guess is we'll be lucky to get a teaser by Fall that even shows a mechanical foot or tentacle with a human in the frame.

I can't help but feel this kind of obsession you describe regarding how desperate people seem to be for news about a film not coming for another year is vaguely akin to unhealthy addiction in some manner.
