I was watching tf3 today and thought I noticed something bumblebees mouth may have been revealed but he never talked until he said come on sam
I'll try to dig up the relevant thread later...but this has been addressed. It basically seems to be a speakerbox behind his "ballgag," lol. And I'm pretty sure "Come on, Sam" was all radio-talk, most likely largely Tom Hanks from w/e. At this point, Bumblebee's voice is essentially what you what you're hearing when he says things like "Whatever!" in TF:RotF and "What was that?" in TF:AoE.
I still do not understand why they had Bee talk though the radio in ROTF and the others when the first movie made it clear that his voice box had been fixed.
Fixed? You mean "I wish to stay with the boy."? That sounded very strained when he said it. I doubt it was complete fixed.
If he'd been "fixed" Mr. Ballgag-for-a-Mouth probably wouldn't have been QUITE so eager to spend so much time with a teenage boy, lol. Oh, and I'm assuming that 'Bee speaking at the end of the first film was simply yet another result of wrapping things up with tidy resolutions because no one knew if it would garner sequels or flop. The filmmakers have said that they decided to go with the radio-voice instead for the sequels because Bumblebee was so popular and because the gag was so fun, fwiw.
The picture is fuzzy so I can't quite make out the mouth; but I wish he had one since I feel the mute Bumblebee is an idea that needs to be quietly shuffled to the exit.
I already put in another thread how you could interpret the "sequel bait" at the end differently. Basically sideswipe's the only one that got Prime's message and is just chillin' on earth with the other autobots. ... for those who only like the 1st film. now you can pretend the sequels never happened w/o it hurting the first film
I've been trying to figure out this whole mouth thing and I'm still not certain whether he has a mouth behind the speaker or the speaker is simply his mouth
In the Tales of the Fallen#1 there is a scene where Bumblebee can be seen in profile and it seems that he clenches processor and speaker in his teeth
