If I were the director for the next installement, I would do a F7 style sequel, but much more changes.

    - Galvatron renames himself as Megatron. He finds a way to ressurrect Starscream(new design), Soundwave(new design), and have new cons like Cyclonus and Scourge.

    - Optimus returns to Earth after his search for the Creators came empty handed. But he did find a few sparks, that could ressurrect Ironhinde(new design) and Ratchet(new design)

-More autobots comes to Earth and Autobot city gets build. They are Springer, Kup, Arcee(new design), Perceptor and Arcee.

    -Unicron is the main antagonist

-The transformers have the main roles. Humans secondary.

    -Dinobots speaks and are characters.

-Megatron ressurrect the constructicons and Devastator(new design)

And before people say this is a ridicolous idea.. Just look what Bay did with the previous movies, so it doesn't matter anymore.

You've got a few interesting ideas there...I certainly wouldn't mind seeing Galvatron bring back some of is fallen comrades! It'd be great to have some of the classics back in action, that's for sure.

That said, I don't think Optimus returning with some spare sparks for Autobot corpses would do the trick. As established in TF:AoE, their sparks contain their life force AND their memories, so whatever corpse he plugs a new spark into would just be a zombie-vessel for whoever the spark came from originally. Not that it couldn't possibly become a hybrid of both personalities from the spark and the corpse combined, of course! But still.

And, yeah, Megatron could theoretically find any leftover Decepticon corpses not yet melted down by KSI and reanimate them the same way he gave life to the KSI-bots, so that's definitely a possibility.

I don't really see any reason for him to go back to being Megatron after accepting the name Galvatron, though. But, then again, there really wasn't any reason for him to take the name Galvatron in the first place so it's w/e, lol.

Anyway, it's some fun speculation I guess but I don't really see how any of that would necessarily "distance" the sequel from its predecessors any more than I think there's any reason at all for it to do so in the first place.

It is a ridiculous idea, because the movies already have an established story line. You can't have a "reboot" with all this and still call it Transformers 5.

Just do a reboot if that's what you want, you're trying too hard to salvage something you clearly despise to make it 1986 Movie 2.0.

    Why not?

I don't think anybody would care anymore. Casual viewers would just watch it regardless.

Apparently you haven't been reading the forums. There are many that want to see what happens next with the Creators. Even those who want a reboot.

The thought process is, finish the second trilogy and then start all over eventually.

I just don't see the production team playing that many back from the dead cards. So far it only seems that Prime and Megatron get the back from the dead card. Although at this point Megatron seems to have an entire deck of back from the dead cards.

I'd also worry about too many robots in one film. We wouldn't want something like Mortal Kombat 2 where they were flinging in characters into the movie left and right with no rhyme or reason other than saying we put in all the game characters.

This is a bad idea sorry but it is Age of Extinction set up too much to just disregard it and having Optimus come back with the creators being a dead end it's a slap in the face to everyone who both made the forth movie and enjoyed it.

Would you be happy if a franchise you liked did that no so why would you want another to do it more so no offense those aren't good or creative ideas they're the same stuff fans always post nothing unique or creative just restoring the status quo and doing the movie 2.0 well because, you didn't like how certain events went. That's not how you do a franchise and for the last time the movies have a huge fan base Age was very popular to just say sorry instead of finishing the story we started we're going to pretty much sweep everything under the rug and cater to the fans who hate us.

It doesn't even make sense it's a terrible business plan and it would do more harm than good maybe even kill the movie franchise because for the first time it would show just how many people like these movies and for the first time they would be heard showing all of us just how small in comparison we are.

Well, whatever they do, the one thing that's clear is that they have to distance themselves as far as possible from the first four wildly successful and profitable movies.

They don't need to reboot, so much as they need to give someone else a turn in the director's chair. That and having a new writer/writers would be a start, and they're already halfway there.

For the record, regarding all this "reboot" talk, I only brought that up because of the way he wants to go with the story. It's too far-reaching. Either continue the story as is, or reboot it to fit the idea of his story.

Bringing characters back to life through another MacGuffin and having Optimus just "not find" the Creators is too much of a stretch.

As unoriginal as it sounds, I really would like for there to be a Days of Future Past film where they go back in time and prevent Cemetery Wind from ever existing, thus by extension removing all the off-screen death bullshit AoE cooked up to explain why only two Autobots from DOTM are still alive and relevant to the film.

The offscreen death didn't bother me the autobots were betrayed by their allies and very unexpectedly if you're friends double crossed you and cornered you the confusion alone would make it unlikely for you to escape.

A DOFP style movie is not a bad idea considering there actually is one in transformer history. Does anyone here remember the Galvatron saga which started with Target 2006 and ended with Time Wars?

That could easily be a movie but why just erase TF4 in my opinion the best option would be that Galvatron travels back to 2007 where the movies began from there you have two stories one in the present day or future depending on how you look at it the other in 2007. Galvatron can meet Megatron explore the differences between them have Shockwave freed early and have him form an alliance with Starscream after fearing Megatron's sanity. Optimus would be interesting as the less violent more idealistic Optimus would meet the more broken Optimus and see the things he would have to sacrifice. The human plot would be unexpected the main human character would actually be Attinger before he became consumed with greed and his hatred of the transformers he would be a hero at the time. This is where the emotional conflict comes into play Optimus has to work with the man who wiped out most of his Autobot friends but Attinger hasn't done this yet though he does fear the transformers.

The whole ongoing conflict like days would be if some people were just meant to do what they did are transformers just destined to kill each other is there any way to end the war peacefully can they change their destiny? The movie would have a more equal balance between the two time lines and they would be more connected to each other both affecting the plots throughout. This would conclude the second trilogy and would end with the movie verse in a complete clean slate you can literally do anything you want from here on out it would also act as an ending to the original series.

What if they went back in time even further...To like at the end of the first movie. Sam is about to destroy the cube and kill Megatron but they need to make sure that doesn't happen so they can restore cybertron. And thus erasing all the events after the first film.

Not having the AllSpark seemed to not be a problem when Sentinel Prime came around in DOTM with his plan to rebuild Cybertron through pure slave labor.

Yeah, if Galvatron's gonna fix things by going back in time he should just go back far enough to help The Fallen in 10,000 B.C. so they can just suck the Sun dry and be done with it, lol.

Additionally Ratchet actually has a major role, too, even if he appears alive in only one scene.

He shows more character in his one scene alive in AOE than in the entire previous trilogy combined. It shows how unselfish he is and how far he's willing to both protect Prime and even reason with the humans after they attack him.

His death shows that Attinger's presentation was a farce, and that Cemetery Wind was hunting all Bots and Cons. Also, Attinger made it look like they were successful on their own, when in truth they had a powerful Transformers ally in Lockdown.

Also, the melted remains of Ratchet are what convince Prime to storm KSI, which itself leads to the whole Galvatron/Stinger chase and Lockdown's capture of Prime.
